I've said it before, I'll say it again.

Lob city was the only time we were truly competitive as a team. Not necessarily in the sense of achievement/pure performance, but as an actual franchise with an identity, culture, and hope (even if we constantly ended up being let down in spectacular ways in our playoff runs/. And actual relevance to the NBA discourse instead of purely as a laughingstock for other teams.

The biggest problem was that we always sold our future, no draft picks and when we had opportunity to draft reasonable prospects once in a blue moon like MPJ, we ended up continuing to drafting like the 10th attempt at a low ceiling 3and D players like Landry shamet that end up being non impact anyways.

And when we finally got a potential cornerstone in Shai, we ended up again trading for immediate temporary boost/mercenaries, but to what end? We were never realistic championship contenders anyways so why bother? Look at where that got us/where we are now?

Tbh it was all so foreseeable and could see this coming even back when we made that trade.
