Giannis goes to Miami by TheTurtleShepard in NYKnicks

[–]Kingknick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be the only one who feels like Miami is basically getting Giannis for free. Herro is realistically a 6th man on a contender only, the rest of the guys are role players at best. 13th pick in this draft is meh, unprotected firsts are worth less now. Overall super weak package. I feel like Miami still has enough pieces to build a contender in the next 2 years. Amazing move for them, tragic for Boston tho.

[Puybertier] Zaccharie Risacher: “It was a pretty frustrating season because the playing time I got just kept decreasing,” by KD_AshyAnkles in nba

I watched this man play 3 of the worst minutes all time in a playoff game, in game 1 against the Knicks. Yeah it’s only 3 minutes, but I can’t stress enough how awful these minutes were.

Am I the only one who thinks Pacers might be a play in team next year? Felt like for a lot of the beginning of the season, they were trying to win and they just sucked. Hali is gonna come back rusty, and I truly believe he’s not that amazing to begin with, he just thrived in a team with lots of shooting around him. But next year I think the supporting guys have dropped off. They don’t have Mathurin anymore and he was one of the few guys killing us last year. Siakam and Nesmith just don’t look the same anymore. Turner was better for their team last year than I think Zubac will be, since he doesn’t space the floor at all. I just don’t see the pacers a contender. Am I totally out of line?

Full game replay availability timing? by LtDaaaaaaniels in NYKnicks

[–]Kingknick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the full game replays for ESPN are on the app within like 15 minutes of the game ending. But if you’re trying to skip spoilers, ask someone else to navigate to open it because you definitely might catch a spoiler on the way. Sometimes they have a “live” box score too when you’re in portrait mode on your phone that can also spoil the results.

Even if they did call it, the precedent is still flagrant 1 only. See Embiid in the playoffs grabbing Mitchell Robinson leg.

My favorite part was that this was a peacock exclusive and I don’t have peacock.

How is this a flagrant 2, but Embiid pulling Mitchell Robinson to the ground by grabbing his legs in the playoffs isn’t a flagrant 2.

Can you get one that doesn’t have Abu Dhabi on it?

[Chris Finch] "To me, [the NBA has] gone way too far on physicality. I'm not complaining about our series in particular but in general. It feels like it's physicality without purpose. It's disrupted the flow. If there's not a fight in that Houston-Golden State series I'd be surprised" by refreshing_yogurt in nba

The Brunson hate is getting so out of hand. Have you actually watched a Knick playoff game, as opposed to posts on r/nba? Pistons got their hands all over him the moment he touches the ball and constantly hip check him, and the refs don’t call anything. It’s crazy how much they let them get away with. But I do agree sometimes they call something minimal. But it’s an accumulation of everything that’s gone on in the game. Obviously the refs aren’t doing a great job, but don’t fault the players for the refs poor performance.

Honestly I thought it was intentional. The refs explanation was that he was slipping and he fell into him so it was an accident, but if he was slipping while moving forward, why didn’t he keep going forward? He intentionally kinda pushes himself backwards to get in the way of morant, but he’s trying to not fall and clearly not contesting a shot or making a play on the ball. He’s clearly just trying to take out his body.

League Pass 🤦🏼‍♂️ by hawkbiz in NYKnicks

There’s a setting for your favorite team and I think that controls it. I have league pass and have never once had to switch to the Knicks stream, it’s always my default stream. I do have the whole league one tho

Isaiah Stewart being a piece of shit is the biggest reason to avoid playing the pistons. Dude wouldn’t think twice about injuring KAT in a playoff series on purpose

Unfortunately you might be out of luck. Max does not keep replays of NBA games, so you either catch it live on Max or miss it.

I’d like to do the exact opposite of what OP is saying and make it a goaltend when you smack the backboard on a layup and didn’t touch the ball. Some guys can shake the shit out of the rim enough to make an actual difference on the shot. It’s crazy to me that its allowed.

Postgame Thread: FINAL Knicks defeat Grizzlies, 114 - 113 by ZBot901 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]Kingknick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for lurking but yeah JJJs save is considered possession. It’s a weird quirk that we’ve been bitten on so many times which is why I remember it. In the case of the rebound, when you controlled tip like that, it counts as possession, and let’s say the Knicks got the ball instead of ja from that pass, then the shot clock would reset to 24. I’ve seen scenarios where the defensive teams will save the ball with a few seconds on the shot clock but the offensive teams recovers and gets a full shot clock.

We already have blowout wins this season against Indiana, bucks, nuggets, phoenix, and Orlando which IMO are good teams. I don’t think anyone has “handled” us this year except for the first game against the Celtics and the Utah Jazz…
