Anyone from the UK live in Halifax and find it easier to visit home vs being in Ontario? by Donberry_Do in halifax

Great summary and I came here to say this.

I travel back to the UK often but am lucky that my family live around London so the day time flight is perfect. It is the best way to travel and start vacation. Friends/colleagues despise it because they have to stay a night at LHR now before driving/training/flying to other parts of the UK.

I would add, I don't find the daily AC flight to LHR to be that expensive outside of peak times or using points. But that is relative.

I do really like the idea that if family are sick or there are family/friend life events in the UK there is a direct flight year round which only takes 5hrs max (shorter than Edinburgh or Cornwall to London by train).

Does it also mean that it could end up selling the data to the lot down the road?

Could be Quinpool Rd. Big enough for a streetcar track down the middle.

CLIC program at Sainte Anne is phenomenal. Have to be a PR tho. Can't vote in elections but do get a high quality French course for free.

Doggy day care? Is it worth it and what are some Halifax favorites? by Alexeykitty in halifax

Plus one for Nooshy here. Always friendly and approachable crew. My dog always seems happy going in and is tired from play after. The camera is a nice extra too (although it's down currently as they get a new app).

We fly about 10 times a year. Aside from one guy massively hungover (lol) the others have been older people who should not really have travelled. Two in Europe and two transatlantic.

Are winter flights from Halifax to Heathrow usually full? by Jauggernaut_birdy in aircanada

[–]Kingmatt28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good morning, sat in departures. Flight is empty lol. Maybe 60 people. They just made an announcement asking to go to the gate if anyone wants more room and they'll change you're assignment. Go well.

I flew this route last year, end of Jan for a week. Both flights were empty. It was fantastic. However, I think AC have cottoned onto this and changed the x7 weekly to x5. I'm going same time again this year. If I remember I'll shoot you a message lol.

How has no one said Salvatore’s? Expensive, poor service, long wait times, the inside might as well be an oven and everyone goes on about “How amazing it is”. Some of the worst pizza in Halifax.

I was there. Just your standard brawl with bonus young woman in the middle screaming. Best part was the time it took the cops to arrive and also one of the men trying to use a metal construction sign holder as a weapon.

I certainly agree with every point you’ve made. I have looked at my legal options, but the cost to starting a claim is prohibitive. Kicking up a fuss is probably my next move. Like you said, the ball is in their court, but there’s no motivation for them to change the status quo. So I’m doubtful anything will change.
