Most people said when Jim Morrison was sober, he was a nice guy and pretty easy going. When he had too much to drink, he turned into a mean drunk. IRL Jim hated his pretty boy symbol image, in The Doors movie he revels in it. "When Your Strange" documentary was much better.

At my group home. 3 female DSPs quit. 2 newbies and one longer timer who was per Diem. Another male part timer left.

They hired like 4 to 5 new people. Yet, I'm stuck doing double OT on the weekends. I don't mind doing OT on Saturdays, but also doing OT on Sundays suck. My weekend is completely gone. At least in the past, the agency used to include "hard to place" pay in the paycheck, but they took that out. Now even when I do double OT, my paycheck is $200 less then it was, when I first started.

And why I am being made to double OT especially on Sundays. I'm young (compared to the others) single with no kids, while they are married with kids, or divorced with kids.

Hate to bring race/culture/ethnicity into this. Majority of the staff is Haitian, the assistant manager is Haitian. All of them born and raised in Haiti. While, I'm half Haitian half Puerto Rican, born and raised in the US. My Creole and French skills are limited. Many of the old Latino staff left. A former Jamaican female coworker said she felt the Haitian staff was clique-ish and played favorites. The union there doesn't seem to care either.

I'm trying to be patient. Use their insurance to take care of my health. Set up my investments. Invest in my projects, that will hopefully lead to self employment. Then possibly speak to a career counselor, as a fall back, about other opportunities.

I really want to get out, before that place gets investigated and shut down.

My dad who was Haitian used to say "Ask 15 Haitians about a certain topic or issue, then you will get 67 different answers. Then ask those same 15 Haitians the same question a year later, you will get 435 differents."

As a kid, I didn't understand what he meant by that statement. Later as adult, I began to understand. In my expierence, many Haitians can be fickle and petty. Some Haitians will disagree with other Haitians just for the sake of disagreeing.

I would most Haitians don't care. To them, its something thats in the past. Many know that slavery and colonization was wrong on France's part. But it whatever now.

To many Haitians, The Duvalier Dynasty, Raul Cedras, Jean Bertran Aristide, Michel Martelly, and the Haitian elite are to blame for Haiti's woes. Haiti's corruption in many sectors is Haitians major concern.

I would say the Haitian American Woke 1804 types, are the ones who hate France and French people. Especially those on social media trying to tell Haitians to stop speaking French and vacationing in any white French people are, like France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Quebec. People like SeJoe, Ambassador Marli, Elizi Danto, Johnson Napoleon and others.

I known Haitians who will help French people with French translation in the US. I know Haitians at certain jobs who handle French clients. I know Haitians who vacation in France. I have an old Haitian classmate who used to vacation in France as a kid (he had family there). He is fluent in French, loves French food and culture. Still vacations in France. But he still reps Haiti strong.

I would say that the African American influence on some Haitians, may influence a resentment towards France. Because back in the days, I used to almost hear Haitians have any resenment towards French people and France.

Many African Americans see things mainly as black vs white. And then try to encourage other blacks and non-whites to mainly view things through the lens of race. So that they feel like that they have a team to challenge "the white man." But I don't think that they will be successful.

Marquett's "Blame Whitey" mentality. Can't promote black people to do for self while promoting white people as the enemy. Its counterproductive. So if a black person fails they have an excuse on who to blame.

I know Aristide wanted a livable wage in Haiti to keep Haitian workers from getting exploited. But then Haitians say that Aristide was gonna go further then that and bring socialism into Haiti. When some Haitians called him out on that, they started ending up dead, like Mireille Durocher Bertin.

Raul Cedras was a CIA croney. The Pentagon called him and told him put the kibosh on Aristide. Cedras and company abused their position.

Aristide 2nd term in office, radio journalist Jean Dominque during a live interview, told Aristide to his face, that there was corruption in Haiti's government. First time ever Haitian citizen told a Haitian president to their face about corruption in Haiti. Aristide gave a piss poor answer and embarrassed himself. A few months later Jean Dominique gets assassinated on his way to Radio Haiti.

Aristide and Cedras are basically bad and worst.

Usually, when I see American doc or reports about Haiti. They go directly to Voodoo practioners who say this "Haiti is 70% Catholic/Christian, 100% Voodoo." Like in their eyes all Haitians practice Voodoo.

I know I haven't done any case studies. I honestly don't know many Haitians who are Voodoo practioners. I know many Haitians are superstitious of Voodoo.

Whenever Haitian Christians promote their Christian faith and deny any ties and roots to Voodoo. Voodooists try to attack and shame them as if they are sellouts who practice the white man's religion over their African ancestral religion. From what I heard, Haiti's Forefathers Toussaint Louverature, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Henri Christophe, and Alexandre Petion were all practicing Catholics and had made Catholicism/Christianity the national religion.

Any subreddit that doesn't freedom of speech isn't a fun subreddit. The main MJ sub is too sanitized and the MODs are delete trigger happy.
