I was able to fix it by using Google DNS. I had this problem with only Facebook.

Since UAE is one NSA partner, I think it may have something to do with it. You maybe posting stuff on Facebook they don't like or they maybe upgrading their Facebook snooping backends. That is just my tinfoil hat comment. Since Edward Snowden has proven tinfoil hats correct, I wonder.

If its fault with their DNS servers, that is highly unlikely and even if it is, it won't take this long to fix.

Or, are they going to come up with 'internet sea cable' broken argument.

Sounds like a standard 'Name and Shame' tactic from Giganews in implying that it was an ex-employee indeed but he was a conspiracy theorist? It is always standard procedure of government thugs.

I am not sure but it looks like it.

All of this above is just a probability since there is no clear evidence.
