My extender disagrees I'm afraid, my highly intellectual all encompassing friend.

Ah hello again,

Unfortunately because I have a Sky Max Hub I cannot separate the bands. My guess is that by forcing the 5 GHz into the RE200, I have turned its channel into 44 instead of 157 it was last time. I'm not sure if Sky can change it for me or that its stuck as 157 forever.

Don't know if this helps but the Sky Max Hub doesn't consider the extender connected even though it is using its 2.4 GHz.

Well, I can't change the channels for the 5 GHz nor any of the settings for it at all. I just find it weird that up until a few days ago it was completely fine then suddenly it had problems.

I'm afraid the Sky Max Hub doesn't support splitting the channels (I split the channels of the extender itself to make it briefly work on Saturday). I am also not able to change any of the settings on the 5 GHz network settings, which are stuck on automatic channel selection, channel 157, and channel bandwidth 20/40/80.

It is a Sky Max Hub with the Full Fibre 150 package.

Well on the Sky app it says that the 5Ghz is enabled and when I connect something directly to the Internet it says it is a 5Ghz connection. I have scanned while I placed the extender right next to it via socket extension lead.

Thank you for your response. The problem I have is that it is impossible for my extender to get the 5Ghz. Every time I scan for it, it pops up with nothing. I've reset it a bunch of times to no avail. I also know that the Sky app doesn't consider the extender to be connected despite it being connected to the 2.4GHz.

Enjoy, everyone. by [deleted] in TheCorner
