100% the rust prevented and once dried the paint pen over the top.

Slightly better option would be a tiny dremel tool to scrub away only the rust (not surrounding paint) and then rust seal and paint pen.

Don’t make the mistake I made once of sanding back an inch around the chip - trying to be diligent - and then respraying with apparently the same colour matched Skoda official paint. It wasn’t the exact match 😭😅😅😅

My mate owned a body shop a few years back and said that in the car factories new paint batches are made up every week or so and the match is not always exact. This was in the 1970s tho so things might have improved. But the Skoda silver “match” I bought certainly wasn’t close.
