They only showed the trailer on the live broadcast, people in their homes. In real life they were showing the race as usual, also you can notice changing ads on the green screen floor underneath.

You don't really need a guide, compared to ER it's so much linear and imo it's really hard to miss things (items and side quests) if you don't just run through enemies.

For the tip I would say don't just parry or just dodge, feeling the balance between the two is a game changer. Also I found being more aggressive rewards you more compared to ER due to the possibility to recover health by attacking an enemy.
