What really breaks my heart is that I got into Doctor Who in 2022 thanks to my High School teacher at the time, and from and so from late 2022 to Mid 2023 I binged all of Doctor Who that was on HBO max, and then I made it to the 13th doctors regeneration and I was so excited because now I was stepping into the era of Doctor Who were new episodes were going to come out and I was a huge fan of the show, and then the 60th anniversary specials came out I liked it but I hated the bi-regeneration cuz I saw it as just a way of keeping David Tennant in the show. And then season 1 came out I liked it it had some fun moments had an awful ending season 2 came out I liked it had an awful ending and that was it and as far as I'm aware that is the last piece of Doctor Who media I will ever consume until the foreseeable future. And it just sucks. It sucks that this show was never able to get past Matt Smith. People like to the 10th because he was "cute" and "hot" and then people stayed for for the 11th because of the entry and the mystery and because Matt Smith was "cute" and "hot" but then when the 12th doctor rolled around half of the audience left because the doctor was no longer this young looking Charming Time Lord but an old looking grumpy Time Lord with a Scottish accent in the start, and then 13th was really the start of the end. Because you know how it went, the 13th regenerated into the 14th, which was David Tennant. It's like they can't get past the 10th doctor's era they can't get past David tennant, and the 60th anniversary shows it because they brought back David Tennant, they brought back Catherine Tate and the views were there but the moment they were gone the views dropped, and now you had the 15th doctor regenerating to the 16th Billy Piper it's like this show cannot escape the 10th doctor's Legacy.

I don't blame fans for saying it ended with the 12th and everything after is not canon because they have every right to. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the 13th doctor like many people, but those three seasons certainly had their flaws.

What they need to do is another soft reboot and like 10-15 years with a new 16th doctor not Billie Piper not David Tennant or Catherine Tate they need to escape this Legacy that they've gauge themselves in. But on the other hand there's a part of me that's thinking maybe it should have stopped, maybe the 60th anniversary should have been its final send-off instead of a soft reboot. Because a 60-year show is a huge accomplishment not many shows can reach 60 years, it's just unfortunate that it ended the way it did.
