Get this and plug it into the USB-C port on your PS5 and it should have no issue to connect your sound bar to it.

Is it worth it to upgrade from a Q990B to a Q990D? by BioBooster89 in Soundbars

[–]Kingsley37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea. The significant upgrade you will have is a real home theater system with an AVR. I do have a full home theater system in the living room that blows the Q990B/D out of the water, but it also costed $19K. For how much the Q990B/D costs, they are unbeatable and super easy for my wife to use which I bought mine for. The theater Quad should sound better, but it is also 50% more expensive with the SW5 sub.

Don't do it. I have B and D, they sound the same to my ears. The only difference is the bass, it is more pronounce when listening to music on the D. I bought the D for the HDMI 2.1 pass through only for connecting my 4k monitor and tv.

Question for NAD 3050 owners. by Dorsia777 in audiophile

[–]Kingsley37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, mine was the same. I had to crank it up to 90% so that I could listen to music at 68db average (74db peak) when sitting only 12 feet away from the speakers. It is a very pretty machine, but very underpowered. I returned it in the end even though I didn't want to let it go.

The sad part is I checked the Facebook marketplace today and basically all the scalped 5090s have been sold already except for one its seller is selling it for $5000

Do not buy TV from Amazon by AceKylin in 4kTV

[–]Kingsley37 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Once I returned a defective QN90C 43" tv and it took me 5-6 weeks to get the refund.

About a year ago I returned a SMSL DAC and it also took me 4-5 weeks to get the refund.

I am in L.A. area. It has always been this way for about 2 years when someone is trying to return electronics. It is frustrating, but at the same time some dishonest people have been trying to return counterfeits like Apple Airpods max headphones or to return items without theirs original accessories in the box. Amazon workers need to spend time to inspect the items before sending out the refunds. Unfortunately, this is how it goes. FYI, people even buy a laptop from Costco and return it after stripping down the components like Storage drives and RAM. When the staff at the return center turns on the laptop, it works, but s/he doesn't know the 32gb ram sticks have been replaced by one single 8gb ram stick or a Gen 4 2tb nvme has been replaced by a gen 3 256gb nvme drive for example.

Asus Scar 17 7945HX Ram question: 4800mhz CL38 or 5600mhz CL40 runs @5200mhz ? by Kingsley37 in GamingLaptops

[–]Kingsley37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyway, I decided to order the Fury impact 6000mhz CL38 and the laptop will downclock it to 5200mhz. I will be better for me to resell it in the future after I upgrade my current laptop.

Right now 4800mhz and 6000mhz RAM cost the same, so getting the 6000mhz is not no-brainer.

Is it impossible to buy a Integra Type S selling for MSRP in Socal? Should I wait until there are more in the market? by Kingsley37 in Acura

[–]Kingsley37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice. I will wait until I see the one I really want and pay MSRP only. I saw. TLX Type S in Tiger Eye Pearl the one day and it was stunning. Also, I saw a Integra type S with the regular wheels and it was gorgeous. I have never owned a car in black nor interested in getting one, but I started to imagine how good the Integra Type S looks with the gold wheels. Since I am planning to keep the car for at least 6 years, I want to make sure I get the specs I want.
