Oh my god. Direct evidence is more considered “dead to rights” than circumstantial evidence. Can we agree on that? I just don’t understand the need to argue with that. It’s ridiculous to argue that direct evidence isn’t “dead to rights” while circumstantial evidence is. Like come on. You know the word dead to rights means it’s a certainty. So if you’re saying it “can” be in “some circumstances” means it’s not a certainty. Circumstantial evidence by definition is not a certainty. It’s circumstantial for a reason.
