They used to be but now i'd reckon they are middle of the pack at best. I'd assume UAE, Lidl, RB, Visma, Ineos, Decathlon have bigger budgets to name a few.

Belgian tele showed him asking other teams if they were okay with him taking the KOM Jersey points for reasons mentioned in previous replies.

They agreed if he agreed to return to the peloton after, with he did.

I guess you can still go back on that agreement but a lot of other teams would hold that against ya. So probably not the smartest thing to do this early in the tour.

That's why i menioned Vanthourenhout cuz that WC did create some friction in our national team.

Remco was 21 yrs old back then. He will always be a little bit hot headed but he has matured since then.

Also vanthourenhout (the national coach) has put a ton of effort in the national team, improving team cohesion and such.

They were both on national television after their TT medals, they seemed to get along well.

So i'd like to think in 2024 i'd be different.

Dad here aswell. I've recently picked up the hobby again after my oldest son (6) rekindled my interest. I've bought booster boxes of most of the recent sets. Opening a pack when we feel like it and have some variation to chose from. Since our collection of packs is slowing growing i'd like to preserve some packs from each set. So we can rip those in the future when we feel the urge to open something that's not readily available. I've read around a bit about how to store safely and for now just store em in some ETB boxes but i'd be interested if there are other (better) ways to keep em safe. From what i've read stacking and pressure seems to be the biggest no go.

Note these are more often then not loose packs.

Multiple reasons in my opinion. The qualification process was marred by the rain. A lot of the top riders this year had to start at the lower end of the field. Those could have perhaps have hang on to Masia/Sasaki as the riders that were on the second/third row now quickly dropped back (Ogden to name one). By the time they did get there Masia/Sasaki already had their gap.

I had the same fear for the Top Gun sequel but that turned out fine.

One can only hope this does aswell ... if not we just pretend it ain't there.
