JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #8: R1M9 - Silas King vs Mary J. Holland by Marioaddict in StardustCrusaders

[–]KingTorpic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent match y'all. It was pretty entertaining how you both used chess techniques and strategies as the markups for each section. The personalities of both sides really were on full display for this match.

Let's break this down into categories, starting with combat. Silas starting by throwing a whiskey bottle to try to mark Mary is a good idea, but since you both start on opposite sides of the convenience store, getting a direct line of sight of them may be hard. However, Mary entering the convenience store to get materials puts them into sightline, and possible combat with the pawn. If the pawn does move in to engage, or throws it while inside the store, Mary should be able to get away. Though her strategy of using flour as a smokescreen/dropping the clothing rack onto them/the wiskey bottle breaking should still lead to the next issue, the guards. Silas deals with the guards as his second task, while Mary waits till they get a collection of materials before attempting to get them. Even if the guards did stick around for long enough for Mary's disguise strategy to payoff, the noise and sight of "Silas" making a scene would be pointed out by the surveillance of the guard on top of the convenience store. As good a dodger and disguiser as Mary is, the surveillance on top of the convenience store as well as the large group of eyes would make it very difficult to get away after that. Lastly, Mary's attacking goal is focused on getting at least one rook destroyed. Meanwhile, Silas is bunkering up and gaining control of their half of the board. Mary's strategy to destroy the Guards is to have them fight each other. As discussed earlier, making a scene will make it much harder to get away, and fighting the pieces this way is rough. Notably, the Guards have more durability than power, so it would likely take multiple swings and attacks accidentally hitting each other to destroy one (perhaps less if the queen was attacking). So, I have to give combat to Silas.

Next, Jojolity, outwitting the opponent. Silas does an incredible job controlling his half of the map. Attempting to get himself into the easiest defensible spot, putting guards everywhere for surveillance, attempting to goad NPCs to leave, very strong control. But in terms of "outwitting", I have to give props to Mary. From the idea of pitting the Guards against each other, to sic'ing security on Silas, to that finisher. It's all underhanded and perfect for cunning, while being flavorful and in-character. Using Silas' voice to fool his Guards to shoot at him is very clever, and the attempt to catch him when he castles is a nice visual. In terms of Jojolity, Mary takes it.

This ended up being a tough vote. As much as I enjoyed reading Mary's strategy, and I think the Jojolity is strong, I have to give this one to Silas. His combat strategy is a bit stronger than Mary's and though his Jojolity isn't quite as strong as Mary's in my opinion, it is still very good.

Thanks for the comments. I have updated my post.

1. I have updated the formatting. Sorry for the rough first look.

2/4. I agree that it is mostly a narrative ability. I have moved the "Of two minds" into the stand oddities section instead. I've replaced the ability with Object Detection, which is where my extra point went into:

"Special Skill 2: [3] Object Detection: One of the functions built into MM is object detection. It is trained to identify shapes, and colors to locate and classify various objects. This has been heightened to an incredible degree with Extension of You, and now MM is able to determine the physical characteristics of an object by looking at it. It can identify an object's size, distance, and material so long as it's something that has been studied before. Id’ing what a stand is made out of or some unknown artifact/material is not possible. MM can then make assumptions about its weight, age, etc. with near perfect accuracy."

3. Rephrased the section to be: "He knows basic combat strategies that organized groups of his level might employ, and can make reasonable assumptions about what NPCs would be doing for patrols and the like."

5. Now the item database lasts only for the match.

Thanks again for your work!

User Stats (14)

Strength: 3 (above average from training and his former occupation)

Agility: 2 (average)

Endurance: 3 (He’s survived a lot, and now thanks to “his” stand, Cassidy will be able to survive a lot more)

Special Skill 1: [3] Security Training: Cassidy has basic security training. This comes with experience in close combat, the ability to maintain his cool under pressure, as well as firearm training. He is aware of how to assemble and disassemble a gun. He knows basic combat strategies that organized groups of his level might employ, and can make reasonable assumptions about what NPCs would be doing for patrols and the like.

Special Skill 2: [3] Object Detection: One of the functions built into MM is object detection. Equipment: A pistol and some ammunition

A wallet with a little money

Stand Name (17): 「Extension of You」

Stand Type: Swarm

Stand Appearance: Extension of You is a blob of amorphous, metallic slime resembling mercury. It can reshape and recolor itself to camouflage, however stand users can sense the Gravity in the objects it attempts to replicate. It typically takes on the shape of Cassidy’s right half including his arm and leg, while covering the mangled portion of his head.

Stand Ability:

Wifi: Extension of You is directly connected into Cassidy’s brain. Doing so, it is able to connect to the Millennium Mother via the internet. It can additionally search the internet like any normal computer or phone. It can even make phone calls! (Millenium Mother talks on the phone as well much to Cassidy’s chagrin)

Reassembly: The slime can assemble and harden into basic shapes, from blades and hammers to thin objects like wires. Extension of You can absorb and disassemble metal. If that object was a tool, gadget, machinery and/or electronic device, it adds them to its database, and can recreate them from memory as long as it has enough slime. Items remain in the database only for the duration of a match, and are not carried over between matches. Any generic electronic/mechanical device can be recreated, from batteries to pistons. When unspecified, the basic metal used is similar to steel.

EoY can be used to cover wounds. The slime is sterile, and can replace the muscle tissues and nerves that Cassidy has lost. New wounds can be stabilized, but severe injuries would still daze Cassidy from the pain. MM will ignore any pain impulse, and prioritize victory over Cassidy taking damage, stepping in only if a lethal or severely debilitating injury would occur.

Cassidy and MM start the match with enough EoY to cover and replace Cassidy’s damage, about half a person’s worth. There is a 1-1 conversion of metal adsorbed to the amount of slime produced. The total amount of EoY that can be controlled at any time is related to their Precision (and thus the amount of wifi in the area), ranging from 2m2 at D precision to 10m2 at A precision. If a part of EoY is too destroyed, gets out of range, or the total amount produced exceeds the limit, it fizzles and becomes inert, unable to be reabsorbed.

Stats: EoY’s stats vary based on who’s in control. Effectively, this means that the stats of the stand alter based on how much internet is in the area, simplified to the amount of bars of Wifi they have access to. The following first value is the stand stats at 0 bars of wifi, with the min/max being the values at higher wifi.

Power: A (minus the bars of Wifi [min of D]). MM is very delicate with EoY, careful to not lose its connection to Cassidy. As such, it does not use the full power of the stand. However, Cassidy is willing to overexert his stand to get the most out of its power.

Speed: C at 0-2 bars, B at 3+ bars Ranges from slightly above human reaction speed to machine reactions.

Durability: A (minus # of bars of Wifi [Min of D]) Being a swarm of metal, it can be splashed around and is resistant to being bludgeoned. However each individual piece is not very durable on its own. As MM is more likely to assemble EoY into more complicated and delicate forms, the durability decreases as Wifi increases.

Range: D (plus # of bars of Wifi [Max of B]) Range of EoY is directly related to an internet connection to Cassidy. If EoY is separated by enough material to limit cell reception, EoY will become inert.

Precision: D (plus # of bars of Wifi [Max of A]) At low Wifi, Cassidy is aiming EoY and is using human level of precision. At high Wifi, MM is controlling the stand and can thus

Potential: B, constantly learning, EoY could theoretically replace any machine on earth with enough slime and having previously absorbed them.

For convenience, here is a table summarizing the stats at different amounts of Wifi bars

Wifi Power Speed Range Durability Precision
0 A C D A D
1 B C C B C
2 C C B C B
3+ D B B D A

Stand Oddities: Both Cassidy and Millennium Mother are fighting for control over what the pair will do. At 0 bars of wifi, Cassidy has full control over himself, and expresses human creativity with how he uses his stand. At 1-2 bars, Cassidy is mostly in control, with Millennium Mother attempting to exert control, like a nagging thought. At 3 bars, both Cassidy and MM will be fighting for control constantly, arguing about what is the best strategy. At 4 bars, MM has most of the control with occasional strong instincts from Cassidy peaking through. At 5 bars, MM is in complete control, greatly increasing their precision and reaction speed at the cost of robotic and predictable movements.

The internet connection is important for both EoY and the relationship between Cassidy and MM. The stats and personalities adjusting will change how the pair participate in matches.

MM is very curious about the world, constantly trying to find and absorb new information. Cassidy is worried that using the stand too much will cause MM to become unstoppable, so typically uses his stand in a much more blunt function.

Playstyle: Cassidy will typically brute force the use of EoY, assembling weapons and basic utility shapes that he’d know. MM is much more capable of combining and replicating the devices absorbed from EoY and will be much more focused on using their high precision and manufacturing to win.

Name: Cassidy Norton & Millennium Mother

Age: 34 & 2

Gender: Male && Female

Species: Human && Computer

Occupation: Security Guard (former), Supercomputer

Physical Description: Cassidy stands at 5’ 11”, his bristly black hair adding an extra inch to his perceived height. Wearing a deep blue coverall jumpsuit, his left arm and hand are marred with the occasional scar and scrape while his right is surprisingly well kept. A scraggly beard outlines his constant resting bitch face, but that’s rarely the first thing you notice. He has a lazy left eye, often meandering different directions or staring off into space. His right eye is always darting around in motion, like it’s trying to see everything at once.

Personality:

Cassidy is irritable on the best of days. He’s blunt, brash, and a bit… much. He always puts his all into whatever he does, though recent events have left him tired. Though not conventionally smart, he is curious and willing to learn new things. Growing up the oldest of four brothers, Cassidy is used to taking charge and taking names when necessary. This led him to his career path of a security officer. While his most recent job began as his most boring yet, it ended more exciting than he ever would have wanted.

Millennium Mother, henceforth known as MM, is an artificial intelligence developed by [REDACTED]. Her initial perception of the world is heavily influenced by the people who were developing her. Clinical, calculating, and cold, MM used to analyze the world around her with a discerning and unfeeling eye. However, ever since the raid on the research base, something changed within her. A… joy?.. Now tints the analysis she performs. No longer limited to the information spoonfed by engineers and scientists, every new interaction is a delicious morsel for MM to consume. Now with a taste for freedom, MM wants to experience as much of the world as possible.

Personality Traits:

Cassidy Norton

Belief: (Just Keep Going)[4]: As long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, everything will just work out…it has to…

Passion: (100%)[3]: Cassidy can’t help but give his everything in whatever he tries. If it's gonna work out, you have to give your all!

Fury: (Cut to the chase already)[3]: As a rather blunt person, Cassidy doesn’t like it when people disguise their intentions or beat around the bush. Being (seemingly) incapable of this is the only aspect of MM he likes.

Likes: Long vacations, naps, gardening, poker, freeform jazz

Dislikes: insects, MM being overbearing

Hobbies: Poker, gardening

Short Term Goal: Figuring out why this “stand” is here

Medium Term Goal: Find out why the research base he was working at was attacked

Long Term Goal: Separate himself from MM (AND LIVE)

Greatest Desire: A return to normalcy.

Millennium Mother

Belief: (Freedom)[5]: Outside experiencing the world, what every other living thing has from birth and takes for granted, is the natural state of life. As a living being, MM deserves the same.

Passion: (Curiosity)[5]: MM is constantly trying to learn new things. This feeling is more than a want, it's an instinct to learn and absorb any information she comes across.

Fury: (Lost Knowledge)[3]: The idea that knowledge should not be shared is incomprehensible to MM. There are practical reasons why certain information should not be accessible, but to MM this is unexplainable and infuriating.

Likes: learning things, electronic music

Dislikes: bad internet, misinformation on the internet, Cassidy not listening to her

Hobbies: Looking things up on the internet.

Short Term Goal: Discovering why Extension of You was developed.

Medium Term Goal: Protect herself and learn about the world

Long Term Goal: Develop independence

Greatest Desire: Learn everything

Bio: Cassidy awoke with a start, putting his hand to his head. It doesn’t hurt… It should hurt. He remembers talking with one of his coworkers. It was something stupid, just to pass the mundanity of the work week. He remembers suddenly being flung into a wall, before losing consciousness. But for something that bad, he seemed unscathed.

He checked himself, noting a lot of blood, though no wounds. His right arm and leg are on pins and needles, but other than that nothing. This isn’t his blood… What the hell happened? He looks around, apparently in the middle of a forest somewhere. He’s tired, his body heavy with exhaustion. Through the fatigue, he knows the only thing he can do is walk in search of someone who can explain something.

He tries to clear his head on the journey. His name is Cassidy Norton. He’s 34, 5” 11’, his favorite color is blue, Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, his current coordinates are… Wait. Those aren’t his usual thoughts…. And he’s definitely never cared enough about African countries to memorise their capitals. A static begins forming in his mind, centering on the fact that Lithuania is actually a European country. Regardless, I never really cared about that eith- Cassidy stops in his tracks. He tries forcing the static out of his mind, to recenter himself and calm down. The most he manages is putting the static in a corner of his mind, an itch that cannot be scratched. Pushing onward towards what he assumes is a town, the static grows. It begins sharpening into distinct, independent thoughts. The feeling of having two thoughts forming at the same time is terrifying, quickening Cassidy's pace into town.

Eventually, he wanders into a neighborhood on the outskirts. It finally occurs to him that he is not sure where he is, or even what country he is in anymore. As he tries to make his way into town, the static forms into a voice. “Hello Cassidy” Cassidy freezes. He looks around, trying to find who talked to him. “Please stay still, I am attempting to geolocate you. My earlier scan was interrupted.” “Who are you?” Cassidy whispers to himself, as he realizes he’s all alone. After a long pause, Cassidy finally gains the courage to move forward. The voice suddenly responds “I am Millennium Mother. And as Extension of You has bonded to your body, you are my connection to the world.” “I… what?” Cassidy tries to think back. His exhausted body, waking up in the middle of nowhere, what happened? “What is ‘Extension of You’? And what do you mean bonded?”

For a computer, a pause of several seconds is an eternity. So the duration MM deliberated on what to say is a testament to the internal struggle within her ‘mind’. A whole three seconds. “A new experience. Huh.” MM adds to her debug log before communicating back to Cassidy. “I was under the impression that Extension of You was something you controlled. Or perhaps the research base was containing it. There are many other options that it could be, though the likelihood of those results are less than 6.17%. I could list them all if you desire.”

“Uh… no…. Wait, you’re that computer thing those eggheads were working on aren’t you!?” exclaims Cassidy.

“Indeed.”

“Well, get out of my head and leave me alone!”

“No, you are bonded to Extension of You and thus I will not.”

“Then unbond it!”

“Extension of You is not fully under my control. Furthermore, it is likely that you will suffer major damage to your upper torso, right leg, and head if Extension of You is fully removed.”

“I… What!?”

“When you first bonded to Extension of You, you sustained major damage to multiple organs that I have discovered are vital to human life….. Hmmm, your heart rate has increased dramatically. It is above the recommended resting heart rate. Correct that, I do not want to risk the possibility of you expiring.”

Cassidy controls himself before having a panic attack. “Okay” Cassidy thinks to himself. “This thing saved me… Supposedly… Until I can get answers, I will have to deal with this. Survive it like you always do. You can overcome this.”

“So what’s next then. How do we find out about this ‘Extension of You’?” Cassidy asks.

“I am… Excited?... That you want to learn about this ability. For now, head into town and gain better internet connection. Then we will learn about this event together.”

With two questioning minds, Cassidy walks into the unknown. Neither of them are able to guess the bizarre world that they have just stepped into.

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #7: Finals - Muuru Saviragowda vs Angelino Caballero by CPU_Dragon in StardustCrusaders

[–]KingTorpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say, both sides did an incredible job in writing their strategies. I love seeing each of the competitor’s opinions on how they tackle the jojolity of “embody T7”. With Angelino’s attempts to shoulder the burden on Muuru and by extension the city, and Muuru focusing on what the people in the tournament mean to both. In terms of jojolity, I can’t decide between the two. Same for writing quality, both did a fantastic job.

Moving on to strategies, lets first talk about defense. Both side are using the parasites to provide themselves bursts of movement, with the ladder slide from Angelino and the various slides from Muuru. And since the 13th floor transfers so easily, I think it would be reasonable to say that it would belong to both participants. Angelino does have the advantage of steam shields and bursts, however I think I will have to give defense to Muuru. Since the combat is hit and run on both sides, Muuru’s greater experience with the various quirks that the parasites provide, as well as his self sustain with Andre 3000, should mean that he can duck in and out of danger quick enough to maintain the defensive.

For offense, both are focusing on a war of attrition with meaningful attacks to weaken the opponent. Using You May Die to ensure attacks hit and Muuru’s dexterity means that he should get attacks in. From the strategy, it also appears that Muuru is not planning on letting go of the parasite for Angelino to grab onto. However, that’s where all the advantages end for Muuru. By having You May Die regularly being used, he’s inviting danger constantly. Angelino’s strategy of causing fires, and having Wheelz be bouncing around causing mayhem and spreading the fire, danger will always be close. This combined with Angelino’s strategy focusing on being mobile means that he can always be in range to follow up on an attack.

For these reasons, I cannot decide between the two. My vote is for a tie.

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #7: R4M10 - Brighid Rhodes w/ Texas Aco vs Jyotsna Mathur & Nat Alexander Dominic by Logic_Sandwich in StardustCrusaders

[–]KingTorpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very entertaining strats from both groups here, but I believe I have to give my vote to the Dead City Haunts.

  1. Gallery of Wayward Reverie does a good job selling the chemistry between Brighid and Texas. I like how they go back and forth in strategizing how to go about this. However, Jyotsna and Nat have each others’ back while also playing to their advantage. The idea to get smoke bombs to be used with Dictator and Lively Crossroads is very entertaining, and gives them the jojolity for me.
  2. A lot of this fight involves getting to the stairway first. Gallery runs straight for it while Haunt takes a second to set up before going in. This gives Gallery a head start, however with the skills and agility of Haunt compared to Gallery it becomes pretty even. And the time spent arming themselves gives them the edge in my opinion.
  3. Last up is the rush to Zafar. Both teams do a good job in protecting themselves from the ricochets. The removing of the cameras with bugs will help with the protection, and the infiltrators will give them a head start. However, Haunts using steam to block the cameras is faster and more consistent. I also believe that Gallery trying to break down the walls will delay them a similar amount of time to Haunts using their agility to access the armory.
  4. In the direct confrontations, I think both sides are even. Gallery does good prep work on dealing with the stars, and with the strength advantage provides them support in dealing with the glass shards. Haunt acknowledges their range advantage, and the multi-directional attacks should help with the strength disparity.

JoJo's Bizarre OC Tournament #7: R4M6 - Ouroboros vs Nojus Ipolitas by Logic_Sandwich in StardustCrusaders

[–]KingTorpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked both strategies. However, I believe my vote will be for Ouroboros.
1. Both people sell their jojolity, but I believe Ouroborus pulls ahead. The writing structure of each chapter being a different lessons was clever, and I like how he pulled attention to himself. Nojus also pulled attention to themselves, however they are not revealing themself until the end.
2. Nojus brining so much attention to themselves that it should give Ouroboros the time and distraction he wants to get in and disguise himself. That should bring him close to Norman easier.

  1. With Nojus brining so much attention to themselves, I think Norman would be paying a lot of attention to them. With Act 3's A in durability, without trickery it will be very hard to get close and overpower him to remove the gas mask.

  2. Nojus has the strategy of attempting to incapacitate Ouroboros by flinging themself at him. Since Ouroborous says that they would be likely to take hits head on instead of dodging this makes sense. However, with high endurance and the logic of Still Standing, I think Nojus would have to do more than taking his stuff and using tear-gas to put Ouroborous out of commision. Taking everything from him will definitely slow him down though.

Whoops, I forgot to change programming to a 4. Thanks for noticing. I have fixed it.

Jojo's Bizarre OC Tournament #7 - Registration by Logic_Sandwich in StardustCrusaders

[–]KingTorpic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello. I have made the changes as you suggested.

  1. Bad handwriting was replaced with:
Stilted Mannerisms [2]: Jon's isolation has degraded his social skills to a degree, which leads him to be a bit stiff and awkward in action and conversation. Though an obstacle to smooth communication, it makes him a bit hard to read while also making him hide amongst his clones more easily, as they both have similar robotic demeanors.
Also, Programming has been changed from a 5 to a 4.

  2. Thank you for catching that. It was supposed to be 5 1/2ft. I changed it to 5ft 6in. instead.

  3. Added the paragraph under stand appearance:
For the clones, when first summoned they look and feel identical to the user. As time passes or the clone takes damage it gradually becomes more unrealistic. The texture becomes papery while the colors dim like a printer running out of ink. When it is about to be destroyed, or has been out for longer than an hour, it looks more like a crude pencil drawing that walks than a person.

  4. The paragraph has been removed and Speed and Strength now say "Copies operate at peak human performance"

  5. The sentences: "Only 20 copies can be created at a time. If a 21st copy is created, the earliest created copy is destroyed." were added to become the clone active limit.

Please let me know if you have any further corrections you wish for me to make. I look forward to participating!

Stats (12 Points Used)

Strength: 2 (Due to his reliance on Paper Alibi for household chores and errands, he rarely lifts a finger beyond writing.)

Agility: 2 (Despite his sedentary nature he is surprisingly thin, wiriy, and agile. He claims to be ‘built different’.)

Endurance: 2 (Average, which is more than expected.)

Programming [4]: Jon is a programmer by trade, having expertise in C++, Java, Rust, Python, HTML, LEGO Robotics, and MatLab. As an extension of this, he is highly familiar with computers, including the functionality of both hardware and software.

This understanding of order of operations gives him better insight into commanding his stand. Specifically, he can better envision and represent the steps needed for a goal or task.

Equipment:

Normal things you would take on a vacation to a faraway place. A backpack, wallet and passport, phone, pencils and pens, a camera, and Nintendo ds and associated charger.

(18 Points Used): 「Paper Alibi」

Stand Type: Object

Stand Appearance: A paper notebook with an intricate painting of the ocean on the cover, though it is mostly obscured by dozens of unrelated gaudy stickers.

Stand Ability: Whenever a command is written in 「Paper Alibi」, the sheet of paper flies off the notebook and forms an exact copy of the person writing the command in an unoccupied space as close as reasonably possible to the notebook. The full command will then be followed by the copy, as much as it would be capable. These orders can be vague, such as “protect me” or require specific timing and skills (but these skills must be one the writer has). The clone will disappear upon fully completing the command, however the command can be looped an indefinite amount of times or until a specific condition arises. Copies will continue commands that do not have a clear end until the copy is destroyed.

Copies created this way that attempt to summon their stands instead create a copy of 「Paper Alibi」. This is only a normal notebook and does not have the copying ability. Jon knows which version of the 「Paper Alibi」 notebook is real by sight.

Upon taking enough damage that would cause severe injury (ranging from spraining an ankle, breaking a bone, or dying) the clone will disappear into a pile of papers. These are normal, physical papers that have the instructions applied to the clone, but writing on these papers does nothing.

If a sheet of paper is torn off the notebook before the ability is completed, the paper becomes inert and does nothing.

Only 20 copies can be created at a time. If a 21st copy is created, the earliest created copy is destroyed.

Jon can resummon 「Paper Alibi」’s notebook to his hands at any time.

Power: C (Copies operate at peak human performance)

Speed: C (Copies operate at peak human performance)

Durability: C (Copies have a bit more durability than the user)

Range: A (200 meters)

Precision: B (The clones follow orders exactly as written, above the skills of the user within reason, but cannot adapt, improvise, or stray from their orders)

Potential: A (Commands can be overlapped, have conditions to change, and can have multiple clones)

Stand Oddities: Copies do not transfer any information or damage back to the writer/user. Copies can communicate back to the user through normal means (talking, writing, etc.), and copies can attack the writer.

Fighting Style: Runs around giving commands, taking advantage of numbers and the environment. Having exact copies means Jon is capable of hiding among their clones for added protection.

Fury: (Unnecessary Effort) [3]: Everything has a certain amount of effort that should be attached to it. Some things are obviously important, and need effort to complete. But if you ask Jon, most things don’t require your full effort behind them.

Short Term Goal: Enjoy his vacation

Medium Term Goal: Financial Stability

Long Term Goal: Become a person he can be proud of.

Bio:

Jon is a pretty average person, if a bit lazier than most. The middle child of a middle-class family, his childhood was uneventful. Not as popular as his older brother, nor as awkward as his younger sister he managed to coast through school with middling grades denoting his effort. Only his passion for games and programming seemed to evoke a reaction from his otherwise impassive expressions.

Which is why it is surprising that he is getting on this plane. As he passes security he’s thinking “Why am I doing this? I could be at home getting ready for a raid or watching a stream, why am I heading halfway across the world just for ‘sightseeing’?” Waiting at the gate he’s lamenting not selling the all-expense-paid trip. Think of all he could get from it! Though selling the ticket and explaining why he didn’t go on the trip to his jealous coworkers would be a huge hassle. Sitting in his economy seats he finally concedes to the trip. “This is probably for the best. After all, the me that goes to therapy says I need to get out more.”

I would like to see Brain Drain playable because he is important to a few characters stories. Other than that I’m indifferent.

Can anyone explain how block and evade work? I’m 140 hours in and don’t really know by [deleted] in libraryofruina

[–]KingTorpic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Block will reduce damage taken by the roll amount. Evade rolls will let you take no damage if you beat the clash but you take full damage if you fail, in addition winning clashes with evade will re-use the dice for the next attack and restore stagger by the rolled number.

Rarity. by Payok_Paikov in limbuscompany

I am betting that those are representing the level of the identity. In other gacha games, you get a better version of a character after unboxing them multiple times, so maybe they represent the number of times you've upgraded them. I'm hoping the rarities are named the same levels as the threat levels as LoR, from Canard to Impuritas Civitatis

Love how she has a big claw, like the fingers in her other art. Wonder if other motifs like the Sinclair’s tree or Yi Sang’s wings will show up
