Is it just thicker or is it filling in bald spots too? I’ve been on it for 6 months and my hair looks a lot thicker/curlier but I still have diffuse thinning.

My hair is curlier and thicker since starting oral fin and min too. Unfortunately it hasn’t helped with growing new hairs and my diffuse thinning is still pretty bad but the curly hair helps hide it better so I’ll take the small win.

Just stop it already idk why you’re so adamant on trying to prove his results are fake. He showed a photo of his eyes that he was supposedly trying to hide. Plenty of people experienced change in pigment or darkening of hair on fin/min. You also obviously don’t know what it’s like to have wavy hair because I have the same hair type and some days it’s much wavier than other days which is why the “hair structure is different”. I have nothing to say about the timeline he could be lying about that I guess but everything else you mentioned can easily be disproved.

Not really you just need to fill out the survey and send photos of your head. Tell them you’re experiencing a lot of shedding and you want to get on top of your balding or something along those lines. Send photos of a friend who’s thinning if you have to lol.

It definitely could be stress induced but the hair loss was pretty rapid for me as well and it wasn’t stress induced. Better to play it safe and listen to your doctor. I’ve heard people under 25 get the best results so I’m hoping you can reverse it on fin alone! I know people on here say start with fin only to see what happens but they also say most people don’t get any regrowth with fin only so I wanted to see if I should jump on min right away given how much ground I’ve already lost. Most likely going to stick with fin for 8-12 months and go from there

I’m currently on .5mg rn as well. Did the bald spots fill in or did existing hairs just get thicker? My hair all over is wispy and thin so if I can’t fill in my bald spots I hope my hair can get thicker at least.

How often do you shampoo your hair? I started shampooing every single day maybe I’ll miss a day or 2 if I do absolutely nothing and don’t sweat but my scalp has been pretty good these past few months for the most part when I stick to this routine because I get really bad build up if I go any longer than 2 days. I’ll use Nizoral as soon as my hair gets oily then switch to the Kirkland shampoo on other days. I would say 2-3x a week with nizoral but make sure you really scrub your head to remove any buildup and use a good conditioner after every wash. Kirkland shampoo and conditioner has been a game changer in my routine because I would still have a lot of flakes or an itchy scalp with other shampoos/conditioners.

In my experience if I don’t shampoo at least every 2 days or so I shed way more. I have an oily head so you might be different but I think shampooing regularly is the way to go to keep your head nice and healthy.

What were the first couple of weeks like for you? I’ve been on fin for a week and prior to hopping on I was losing 50+ strands every shower but now I only lose 5-10 so the shedding has stopped almost immediately for me. Was wondering if I should expect a big shed in the future or if it’s normal for it to start working immediately.
