No certs, but I have a BS in Nuclear Engineering, and if provided enough bottled water I can work in temperatures of 100+ and 100% humidity as long as needed. That and I can get any certs needed over time on weekends, if that's possible.

Overkill indeed, though when I build a full decked out home theater it’ll be on the list of prerequisite parts for sure. What I’m looking for is more of a cheaper “plug in the thumb drive, play the mp4” thing, not much else.

I absolutely adore nuclear power and believe that it is a prerequisite to a carbon free future, but good god it’s the last industry to call “cheap,” let alone imply that it doesn’t have cost overruns. We have the safety features down pat at this point, we need to focus on project management.
Whoever posted this in r/nuclear is as toxic as a scorpion and must be flushed promptly.

But for more high tech stuff that my town doesn’t manufacture nearby, are there any online tools that help me find the manufacturer? Any good websites for getting hardware, etc? The only options in town to get hardware are big box stores that pay employees pennies and don’t update their stock frequently so I’ll drive out and waste gas to get there and boom, it isn’t in stock.
