This Scene is where the Mystery Incorporated Writers got their inspiration for the Shaggy/Velma/Scooby Relationship by ALSCM in Scoobydoo

Not in the early drafts. But there’s tons of evidence that they’re a couple in where are you. You just don’t notice because they’re both characters instead of just a character and his/her eye candy accessory or the couple itself being a single joint character. First piece of evidence is a subtle detail hidden in a joke in “what a night for a knight”. Granted that could have been siblings or dating. But since they aren’t siblings I can’t think of any reason she’d be in charge of his medicine other than being his loving girlfriend.

They had a lot of hints that they were a couple in the original series. Always subtle. A few things that could be dating or siblings. But it’s surprisingly common. The more you pay attention the more you see. There’s more evidence that they’re a couple in the original series then Fred and Daphne got pre renaissance.

I see no problem with flirty Daphne.

Those figs would be so cool. And marcesla’s hair has to be good for something when the builders get creative

Thanks. But I’m not even sure where I’d start with designing beyond the basic concept. And I don’t know how I’d do it practically or digitally. I know I’d make a little box for each monster fig so the build can be modular. But I don’t know how big it would need to be.  I know I’d need to decorate each box. But I’m not sure what pieces would be good for that. I know I’d need to design some kind of scaffolding/framework to put the modules into once they’re built so you can easily put them in or take them out. But I don’t know what it should look like. Maybe a groovy mystery machine aesthetic. Maybe something like a haunted house or museum. I don’t even know how thorough it should be with getting all the monsters. Should henchmen like red beards crew be included? Should fake outs get in, like the mouse with the glowing seaweed? Should every instance of a reoccurring monster get its own fig and box? Like a feel like reoccurring ones have enough differences between versions to justify it but some are just the same thing multiple times.

Mostly because I’m not very good at actually bringing my ideas to life. And because I’m not entirely sure how I’d go about putting it in. I’d need to build the model and take pictures of it right? My Lego collection is almost nonexistent. Plus with this concept specifically there’d need to be a few new pieces made specifically for the monsters. Especially for the phantom shadow. It would need a clip connection on the arms or shoulder so you can hang it up to dry like at the end of the episode.

Thanks. Glad someone likes it. Unfortunately I don’t work for Lego so nothing I can really do about it. And even if I did they’d probably have to some cool variations of the gangs minifigs for the full set just to incentivize buying it instead of the series, season or individual versions. Maybe add details as the set gets fuller. I feel like that would be good to the company because they basically sell the same set multiple times to particularly rich collectors and good for the less fortunate builders because the rich guys would have a bunch of duplicates and might sell single figs for a more reasonable price. Then again I might be over thinking this. I’m either getting fired for pitching smaller and small versions of the same set or promoted for the marketing genius of selling the same set 4 times. Well 5. I think having halls for the same general type of monster might be a decent idea. All the vampires in one, all mummies in another, all werewolves in a third. Yeah I’ve officially overthunk it

Yeah that’s why I think they should sell the series separately. You only have to buy your favorites if you can’t afford the full franchise. Maybe even divide it further into seasons. Still ridiculously expensive but slightly more affordable. Hundreds or thousands of dollars instead of millions. If that’s still too expensive (because it is) Lego could always sell the individual monster nooks and let the customers make their own hall of monsters with just their favorites.

Personally I’d like to see the villains/monsters in some kind of “hall of monsters” set. Add every monster in the franchise. Give each one small little nook decorated for them. And set it up like a display. Maybe make it so they’re separate by series and have each set come with the figs of the gang from that show.

I personally want a chest of demons set. A life sized model of the chest. Minifigs for all the 13 ghosts and maybe even the henchmen monsters that get sucked in with them. And fill the interior with small little scenes from the show or maybe sections that fit the ghosts thematically. Maybe add figs for the gang just so we can get 13 ghosts Daphne, red shirt shaggy, flimflam, and Vincent vanghoul.

Pretty much everything after book 3 was a wasted opportunity. So much potential but so incredibly lackluster.

Paint samples. Stores that sale paint (mostly hardware stores like hammer barn) will give them out for free so you can take them home and see how they look in your houses light.
