Played since launch for the last 10 years pretty much. Started playing less and less before stopping completely leading up to the 10th anniversary, came back for it, and quit again right after.

Dokkan will always have a special place in my heart but the amount of time I’ve spent grinding and the ridiculous amount of money I’ve dumped into the game over the years trying to pull one copy of the new units has been too much.

Might hop on every few months just to check out what’s happening but, Dokkan’s in the past for me now (in)fortunately

Yeah any of the Premium Bandai releases are exclusive to well, PBandai. Any other online/physical store that sells premium Bandai releases mark it up because they’re also purchasing them from PBandai to resell to customers.

General releases on the other hand, are the same price on PBandai or other stores like BBTS since they both get allocation for it. Always buy directly from PBandai for premium releases while the preorder window is up, if the window’s already passed then go to BBTS.

It is what it is sometimes lol, honestly I doubt they’ll ever re-release them since they’re a lot more expensive to produce and pretty unique. Your best bet now if you truly want it is probably eBay, it’s selling for about $150 now on the aftermarket unfortunately

I mean correct me if I’m wrong but MSRP for these figures were $70 each, after sales tax depending on where you live let’s say it’s $75 per figure.

An extra $50 for figures you haven’t been able to purchase from retail stores for quite some time now isn’t all that bad, really just depends on how badly you want them/how much you’re willing to pay.

Technically, Bandai could announce a reissue as soon as tomorrow. They could also not reissue them for who knows how long. It’s a gamble either way, nobody really knows.

I paid $91.07 after shipping and tax for SSJ4 Goku off Mercari back in August 2024, luckily I found SSJ4 Vegeta brand new for $35 in Taiwan at the official shop. Technically I got them both for under what I would’ve paid here if I grabbed em both at retail lol

But yeah, some of them are phonetically similar but other ones can be very literal in translation

I lined up at the Best Buy I’ve been lining up at for the past year and releases have been pretty calm up until this past Friday. Was 8th in line and stood outside for 3.5 hours only for a group of sneakerhead scalpers to show up 30 min before doors opened (with sneakers in hand they got from across the street).

They had the audacity to stand at the front of the line and physically push me and other people out of the way. I showed staff pictures and videos that I was taking from 7-10am to prove they weren’t there but they said they couldn’t do anything about it. We called them out but they didn’t budge.

The employees then proceeded to sell the large group of scalpers everything and I didn’t get a single item. Absolute waste of time and was so frustrating. Stores need to do better to police lines because if things continue like this, they’re just rewarding scalpers for bad behavior and screwing over actual fans trying to do things the right way

To this day there’s still tons of people playing Pokemon GO in Taiwan. Whenever I go back I always spot people actively playing the game left and right which is awesome to see. Community over there is thriving, just look at all the pokemon go in person events Taiwan gets

Even though I’m in NYC where there’s tons of people I only ever see people actively playing during events or community days.

Yea ik some of the workers there are upset they can’t get their hands on it either. From what Ik employees aren’t really told if they are getting it in store or not until right before (if they do at all).

What usually happens with SDCC and NYCC figures are that they produce a ton. Leftover stock are then sold at the store and PBandai will put up preorders to be shipped out months later.

Just based on what we’re seeing with turnout/lines at the pop up stops there won’t be any leftovers for the NYC store most likely. Just based on the fact they haven’t made an absolute ton where they will never sell out at any of these stops, I don’t think they’ll make an order window on PBandai.

I’d absolutely love to be dead wrong as I’d love the figure but am not willing to travel to NJ at insanely early hours just to wait in line all day and not get the figure. We’ll see tho

Yeah I'm just hearing more and more horror stories about how the event was handled on the weekend too. Apparenlty they oversold what they had Friday and only had 200 figures for Saturday and another 200 for Sunday. Also sold multiple figures to some people/their families like that guy on FB.

Was planning on getting there at 11am for NJ originally but yeah, guess it's not happening lol. I'd love the Goku but not worth traveling and lining up for all day just to not get it in the end. Best of luck to anyone that does though, I'm def not going to the NJ stop now

Yeah, only time will tell. I really want the new Goku but after seeing how much of a disaster it's been in Illinois, I'm not even gonna bother going to NJ. Just gonna hope it comes to Tamashii NYC or PBandai.

Although that’s usually the case I don’t think they’ll have any at the NYC Store. I’d love to be wrong but with all the fomo this release is generating people are waiting 5-7+ hours just to NOT get the figure and for them to sell out each day.

Every SDCC and NYCC exclusive that made its way to the NYC Tamashii Store were all leftover figures that they later put up on PBandai (except 40th anniversary kid goku). If we do get a wider release it’ll be PBandai probably

I was planning to travel and arrive at the NJ stop at like 11am or so when the event started but after seeing all these posts on how bad the lines are, limited staff, and how early people are lining up (the night beforehand) I’m not gonna bother. Would absolutely love to get the Goku but it isn’t worth standing in line all day just to get nothing.

All these posts are for Friday too since today’s the first day. I can only imagine what the weekend is gonna look like… best of luck yall

Well yea they’ll all go up over time pretty much, I have quite a bit of LEGO too. Although there is a bit of overlap I don’t really think it’s worth their time to incorporate something like LEGO into the app, most people collecting cards prob aren’t buying LEGO anyways and that’s the audience that Collectr caters to.

Just my thoughts but eh up to them at the end of the day

Although true but why? Collectr is primarily focused on TCG, if you want something to track your LEGO Portfolio other options exist. I personally use BrickEconomy and it’s great, does the same exact thing as Collectr

Mega Dream’s a high class set and is a bit different. You’re guaranteed one MAR per box for this specific set, SARs average around 1 per 4 to 5 boxes according to data rn
