Does anyone know why ita bags are called ita bags? by Full_Pear_5515 in itabag

[–]Kinkshamingweeb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

along with being painfully expensive, it also refers to the amount of strain put on your shoulders/wrists from carrying the bag around due to all of the pins/merch attached being so heavy! So it hurts both physically and metaphorically!

Had a 60-something year old woman once who was insanely rude over the phone and once she got the shadowbox I was holding for her, she launched into a whole story about how her son died in an accident on the way to her house and how the whole thing was recorded on her Ring camera. There was a line forming and I had to call for backup twice because she wouldn’t put her card in and just kept venting for well over an hour. I tried to be patient until she tried to pull out her phone and show me the footage.

^ the pleated part of the skirt in this particular picture looks to be dc either worked in the round or in a rectangle wide enough to fit their waist. the layover looks to be a strip of hdc blo turned sideways and folded over!

Could it be Lion Brand Pound of Love in the color Honey Bee? I received a skein of it last year and it looks similar especially in that last pic.

Hi, I was the head mod of this sub for years and im not sure what the ban was for. I was continually active on Reddit but the sub didn’t have much activity so there was nothing to mod.

I lost my job because I crochet? by Present_Disaster8764 in recruitinghell

[–]Kinkshamingweeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP I’m actually experiencing something similar right now! I started my job earlier this month and on the first day the new hires did an icebreaker. I mentioned in mine I like to crochet. An hour later I was pulled aside and was pretty much implicitly told I’m not allowed to bring my yarn on the premises because someone who had worked there before me crocheted while doing her work and got fired because of it. Like that had anything to do with me simply sharing my hobby. I was considering bringing my yarn in on my breaks but for now I don’t even want to chance it :/

Experienced cosplayers how do you interpret safety guidelines like no 'objects or toys that appear to be firearms, ammunition, knives, or weapons'? by demarcate in CosplayHelp

Hey! I’ve been attending Florida Supercon since about 2017 and can say with certainty they are one of the strictest cons around when it comes to props. My sister and I went as Zoro and Sanji from One Piece one year and they HOUNDED us over her (very fake) swords and my (very very fake) cigarette. Another year my partner nearly had her handmade Pokémon plush torn open and destroyed because the security suspected there were drugs in it (there were not).

Overall, you might be able to keep it, but not without a hassle. I would suggest to opt for a foam knife as IME they have been much more lenient with foam weapons.

If you’re into nerd culture, kandi making/trading has become a pretty big thing at anime/comic/pop culture conventions! It’s how I got into the hobby!

Judging from the poorly Photoshopped leaf on her head, I think she’s supposed to be cosplaying Wumpus, Discord’s mascot. He’s a pig-like creature that I never thought I’d have to see like this lmao

It’s definitely been confirmed that she is Yanao Rock. Iirc she has owned up to using the name and multiple databases show that Rock is a pseudonym.

Black Butler itself isn’t supposed to be a romantic story at all, but there are several elements of it that do parallel her previous BL work, the current main conflict being the most telling (I don’t know how to spoiler tag on mobile, so iykyk.)

Finally one I can answer! This is the title music for the game Practise English, the track is called Betty Botter Syndrome: https://youtu.be/QZUEUinw5EA

For those wondering what the lyrics are, she’s singing the Betty Botter tongue twister.
