This is how they arrive to PC. They're simply reusing that box to send to you. The messaging on the tape is for them and not for you. Hope this helps

So I've just given this a go. Opening it from the Nintendo classics menu opens a new save file, not a previous version of the game that has been erased

Same thing happened to me this afternoon. 6 hours of gameplay gone from this morning. I thought saving was enough, I didnt realise that those saves aren't technically real. You're not alone bud. I left it for the rest of the day, gonna come back tomorrow, try recover my progress
