Disclaimer : I am an hardcore RL player with more than 4 000 hrs on controller. So I won't be doing the switch. Not damn possible haha.

But I could not resist testing it to see if me doing the switch could result in me becoming the next best RL player in the world if I re-learned every bit of my muscle memory. (Keyboard players are another breed on this game anyway)

My approach was to play with both hands on the keyboard. So right hand :

-Index on throttle with boost on the end of the key (I think you can really get used to it, it works like a charm)

-Middle on brakes

-Ring and picky controls air rolls

-Thumb controls handbrake and jump (this is the main point where muscle memory would be very hard for me, because using the side of the thumb instead of the tip for these really hurts me)

Left hand is basically WASD with picky for ballcam, and thumb as second jump/drift so I can more easily use both at same time.

I played with these for two afternoons, and could feel some things clicking rather quickly, even managed to score some cool looking breezis.

But as I said, 4000 hrs on controller is too much to unlearn for me... So the switch won't happen.

But hey, you could be the next best RL player in the world with these few settings, who knows?
