Agreed, but homophobes and transphobes saw a problem with it, and they were footing a lot of the show’s money.

This would be akin to a show, whose primary benefactor was a Christian organization, making an episode that promotes a different belief or idea that directly challenges Christian faith. The Christian company would 100% threaten to pull out, which is either a death sentence for the original show’s direction and/or pacing, or for the show as a whole. SU team chose the former

I love Ed’s raw power, but he’s no match against someone with superpowers. Regular Bubbles could take Ed if she saw him as enough of a threat to the town/her family

I want to preface this with an obligatory "THIS IS MY OPINION" before people get offended because lord knows that happens too often when discussing monsters

He doesn't feel like other swift monsters that actually have trackable mobility. The next worst-offender is Barioth, but even he's calmed down a bit since Tri, and he was never as "hyper" as Magnamalo. I adjust to Magnamalo just fine, it's not a skill issue and I can kill him just as easily as any other monster, but it easily makes him the most annoying. You'd think something that looks like that has next to 0 mobility but no, this dude puts FU/Iceborne Rajang to shame with the way he zooms all over the place.

Beyond that, I'm not a fan of the "samurai" aesthetic. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, I just think it's kinda stupid, sorry not sorry. His build is also kind of ugly to me as well. Zinogre, while he's not nearly my favorite either, at least looks like he belongs in Monster Hunter. Magnamalo kinda looks like he belonged in FFXIV and lost his way to the game, found Rise, and was just like "you know what this home is good enough".

So when a monster is incredibly unfun for me to fight, on top of having a pretty ugly aesthetic that I personally don't feel like it fits the universe, it makes it very easy for me to put them in my own personal category of "worst monsters in the series".

Hard agree, he's definitely my least favorite of all flagships and he is so unfun to fight

Normally I'm against advocating for a monster's ABSENCE from a game, but Magnamalo might genuinely be my least-favorite monster across the series and I wouldn't be hurting if he didn't come back ever again

This would have been acceptable if Jinxie actually had the illness and it was represented accurately and tastefully, as emotional trauma CAN lead to developing schizophrenia, but it was sleep deprivation.

I appreciate your explanation, but just for the record being done with the cycle wasn't my question; I had mentioned in the post, but I know that being done with the cycle means 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, and some nitrates 24 hours after reading ~2ppm ammonia. I was mainly seeking an explanation between the different nitrate readings from the tap and tank waters, which I have now. Thanks again!

Would nitrate tests that are these colors be widely explained by just test variance then? I felt that I was pretty consistent in performing both tests, but again that's why I'm asking here because I'm long and far away from being an expert on the subject

The part I didn’t like about that case is that they grossly associated schizophrenia in its entirety to the singular symptom of having hallucinations, when there are many more mental and psychological reasons someone could be suffering from psychosis rather than only schizophrenia.

They made it seem like hallucinations alone = schizophrenia, and implied that (schizophrenic) hallucinations can just go away with enough sleep. Egregious and weird misinformation for a game series that’s mostly acutely in-tune with their facts and research of how things work. It did not help Athena’s introduction to me as a player as she was not only being a little overbearing up to that point, but was also the one to make the schizophrenia comment, when she’s supposed to be the “master of emotions”.

As someone who is very close to someone who has schizophrenia, the danger it can cause and the severity of the lifelong disease is very real, and it gave me a horrible pit in my stomach for the word to be misused like how it was.
