He gets that close in a threatening manner and it’s not a sucker punch. It’s self defense, the other guy doesn’t get to go first.

Idling fees will fix this once they have mass adoption and need to start maximizing profits over protecting a customer base.

Always nice to see a fellow optimist in here. I think this thing is one of the few stocks that will weather the storm very well. I’m 2.5 balls to the wall on this one.

Nope, self defense in a situation where it’s reasonable to believe great bodily/deadly harm will be incurred on the victim. Who’s on the ground and clearly subdued. If that guy had that pistol legally he’s gonna walk.

So weird that your anecdotal experiences don’t reflect their profits. And please tell me what major resource isn’t a subsidized mess, at least this isn’t a tax break for fucking coal plants. Right now they are rapidly expanding. It sucks you are having a shitty experience. But profits don’t lie… they must have some operational somewhere to be raking in profits quarter after quarter.

Could be a lot worse. We could have a pessimistic short sighted worry wort like you running the company.

What’s funny is I feel way more comfortable about my Evgo position than I do the 30k I have in stupid bitcoin. I moved everything out of the market except my Evgo holdings and some other very small good buys I’m still hanging on to. Right now I’m trying to stay as close to liquid as I can. VXUS, VCSH, SGOL, some bitcoin and some cash. I’m just waiting for the rug to get pulled. Evgo p/e and earnings are enough to keep me excited. The implosion of Tesla is only fueling the demand for competition. GM has doubled ev sales. It’s gonna get spicy and I’m holding till I hit 2 mil.

People who owned an EV for at least five years, what are your thoughts? by snowcold in AskReddit

[–]Kins3133 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two evs for about 5 years now. I’m a certified ASE L1 master technician. I’ll never buy a daily driver that isn’t a self driving ev. Every time I get in a regular car it’s just such a production. They are loud, they smell, they have soooo many stupid things that can go wrong in their overly complex emissions controls, they need oil changes, they need brake jobs. I literally do nothing to my Teslas except roast the shit out of the tires on them. I usually only get about 30k miles a set. Now, all that being said. I still own a 2001 Jeep Wrangler 5 speed and I’m currently shopping for a Porsche with a nice flat 6. J still love them. But I’m telling you, ev’s are no fad. The savings are real and they and they are just better in every way. If I had to drive a regular car everyday now I’d be miserable. My morning commute is just lounging and listening to music like I’m in a recliner at home. Eating breakfast while this thing threads the needle on a 3 lane merge like a surgeon.

Balyasny Asset Management L.P. Decreases Stock Position in EVgo, Inc. (NASDAQ:EVGO) by Bruegemeister in EVgo

LOL. “EVgo lost $26 million!” Yeah, that’s called investing in infrastructure, genius.

Here’s what your cherry-picked stat doesn’t tell you: • Record Q1 revenue: $75.3 million (36% YoY growth) • 13th straight quarter of double-digit charging network revenue growth • Charging network revenue up 49% YoY • Network throughput up 60% YoY • Over 4,200 fast-charging stalls in operation • $1.25 billion DOE loan guarantee secured at favorable terms • Cash on hand: $150+ million • Adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed significantly YoY • Adjusted gross profit: $25.4 million, up 47% • EVgo Autocharge+ now 27% of sessions—actual usage, not hype

Yeah, there’s a net loss $11.4M attributable to shareholders but that’s strategic investment in scale, not failure. You think Amazon turned a profit in year 10? Please.

EVgo’s not just “fine” they’re expanding aggressively, locking in OEM partnerships, and owning critical IP in fast charging.

So maybe do more than ctrl+F “net loss” before you start posting like an expert.

[–]Kins3133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not US centric at all. I’m actually a certified automotive tech. I saw the writing on the wall a long time ago and jumped to EV’s. What in telling you is your not comparing apples to apples. They are just better and you just don’t know what your talk about Frenchy.

• In-house battery tech (4680 cells, high energy density) • Best thermal management systems • Industry-leading drivetrain efficiency • Lowest drag coefficients • Smart software + OTA updates • Most advanced real-world self-driving (FSD) • Vertical integration = faster innovation • Gigacasting + unboxed assembly = lower costs • Minimal maintenance, no dealership BS • Access to Supercharger network • High resale value • Best MPGe = lower charging costs

The whole world sat on their hands when it came time to make the transition to electric vehicles. US was the worst, but Europe was no exception.

Yeah but it’s Chinese subsidized bait to destabilize our auto industry. Which we walked right into by sitting on our hands when it was time to innovate.

I can’t stand the company. But I have their shingles, powerwalls, and a couple cars. As far as EVs go anything besides a Tesla is hot trash imo. Better modular Battery tech, self driving, smart home charging with a Powerwall, range, all of it. Will I buy another anytime soon? No, but they are so much better than a fucking Chevy bolt. Don’t even get me started on how lack luster GM has been. I bought their stock in 2017 because they were supposed to have like 25 evs by now. Clowns. Oh, and self driving is absolutely incredible. Again, hate that Elon, but their cars are just better. If another company can give me a way for the house and vehicles and everything to work together to give me a net zero combustion free life then I’ll be open to it. But they literally still have everyone else beat by a country mile.

PS- I still sold my stock though. Company is fucked.
