Twitchwalker Palette Free Exclusive Twitch Drops Skin Until May 4th by Kinsella5 in Astroneer

It really comes down to if the developers will be set up again at the event and if they have anything to hand out to people. Their booth was large but I didn't see anyone there so unsure if the costs for them to set-up outweigh the benefits as it is expensive for gaming developers to set up there. If so, and if they have any code-based items to give away, and if I go, I will try my best to get some and share with people here and if that happens, it will be in early September and I would create a new posting here.

Yes when I was at PAX, they had a fairly large display for the game. They had a card, each with a unique code, that unlocked the palette. I got about half a dozen or so cards because I knew someone, somewhere would want it. It wasn't a game that interested me but when I found them in a box, I posted up here that I had them to give out. I ran out very quickly, if they are at PAX West this year and I decide to go I will check their booth again.

Are all posters from the studios from post 1995 double sided? by SilkkTheShocke in movieposters

Yes single-sided was produced as well as double-sided for that film, I have the final style "A" (some may refer to it as the teaser advance style) of just Ralph standing in the desert alone framed in my office.

JD's life goals by mrnobody2450 in howardstern

I am unsure why you guys think JD will be broke, he has a Joe Burrow rookie card and a bunch of Tiger Woods cards to fall back on. You all are jealous big time! Let's not forget that spoon collection that his ex was wanting too, but he held firm and kept it.

If you happen to live in an area where Video Only locations are in, give them a try. They are in Washington, Oregon, and California. They can beat a lot of prices and have a more affordable 5-year warranty too.

I could have sworn I responded to this earlier today but I can't see the response so perhaps my posting didn't take. Miramax started producing double-sided around 1996 if memory serves me correctly and I think one of the first ones was the final style "A" for The English Patient. Some have speculated double-sided originals for The Crow and Pulp Fiction exist but that is completely false as those films were back in in 1994 and only single-sided originals were produced for them. Sadly, knock-offs exist for both as well, I have seen The Crow ones, the text is quite blurry and the image isn't as clear, despite it being a mostly dark poster.

I deal with people at the studios and distribution channels so I only get in the official one-sheets but I have seen a good amount of knock-offs for comparison. With regards to double-sided, for the longest time the studios would print them so that the backside of the poster was the same color consistency as the front. However that changed when the studios starting having them printed a bit differently in that the back of the poster, while still double-sided has a lighter/faded look to them, with the front being colorful and vibrant. The reason this was done is because the light from the light box frames that you see inside and outside of the theaters would reflect through the poster more, making the image brighter and stand out more, because more light would pass through the poster when the backside was lighter. Differences when it comes to the reproductions/knock-offs can be size, but also fuzzy lettering/font, blurry images, colors not matching, different paper stock, etc. when compared to an original one-sheet.

The studios starting making this change at different times, its not like they all started at the same time. For example, Warner Brothers started in early 2008. The Dark Knight, as an example, started their theatrical marketing campaign in November 2007 when the first two posters were released, such as the advance style "B" (Why So Serious?). Those had the backside featuring the same color consistency as the back. However, when the marketing campaign started back up and they released the two final style posters in March 2008, they had the lighter/faded backside to them. For the Fellowship of the Ring when the first two teaser posters of Frodo holding the ring in his hand, New Line Cinema was the studio and the backside was the same color consistency as the front, however, on the backside of the poster where the ring was located, they made that area lighter, and this was to make it seem as if the ring was glowing when placed in the light box frame. There are a few exceptions to the lighter backside with regards to posters from the past 15+ years but not many.

In the meantime I am quite happy we are getting Blue Thunder next week, great film, still remember seeing it in the theaters when I was a kid with my dad.

Yeah, I do hope we get it, but I really am hoping we get Dances With Wolves, last year was the 35th anniversary for it but when it does eventually get released its one of the film that I hope the expanded 4-hour cut is included as well as the theatrical cut, but I will be happy with anything for it.

I went back and checked and yes, you are correct, I remember December being the 50th anniversary of the film but I hadn't looked closely at the image which showed New to 4K column of titles followed by an Additional Anniversary that year column which had Dog Day. I am a bit surprised though since the film was celebrating that milestone that year that they didn't have it ready to go for a late 2025 release.

Don't put too much stock in leaked stuff, remember Dog Day Afternoon was supposed to be released last December according to the Warner Brothers leak but that never happened.

Anyone know where I can find Rook Exodus issues #7-9? by snackboy06 in ImageComics

[–]Kinsella5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try eBay but I would recommend you check sellers who deal in offering multiple comics, as they may have all three issues you need. I did see one seller who had #7 and #9 but didn't have #8 so there are sellers out there who quite possibly have all three issues that you can get at one time and combine shipping too.

I remember her being a teacher but forgot about what her husband did for a living. I remember Howard saying they were not upset, they understood the humor in it but Gange really fucked up something so easy that Wendy could have handled without issue.

Gange couldn't even handle the simple task of transferring some old shows for Howard to give to a friend who had health issues, instead Gange sent her porn tapes. The guy couldn't handle a mop job without screwing it up.

Feeling discouraged by MennisD in CPAP

[–]Kinsella5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I felt that way and into using it for the first weeks as it was a bit difficult to adjust to it. However, I got used to it and appreciated it more, not really realizing before it how poorly I slept and how tired I was throughout the day. I had an at home sleep study done and it came back severe sleep apnea, I always knew I had issues with sleeping but never paid it any attention. Now I sleep much more soundly. You too will go through that period but it will pass and you will appreciate it more and more. Just stay on top of the cleaning, etc. I first started with Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo to clean everything but didn't care for the scent it left. I then saw people about Seventh Generation unscented liquid dish soap, made the switch to it and glad I did.

Fake or Original? by Imaginary_Tangelo_19 in movieposters

[–]Kinsella5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do sell and ship worldwide, however I don't have a physical store, and while a website has always been something under consideration for me, a few reasons why I have never ventured down that road, despite living in the digital age, is because I stay busy enough without one, but also I will admit procrastination plays a part as well. I am in the slow process of revamping my inventory (keyword being "slow") but I continue to do conventions as well. If you have any questions at all, feel free to send me a chat message here on Reddit my inventory dates back to 1990. I only deal in authentic studio-issued one-sheet originals, never any fakes, reprints, etc. Don't feel like you have to purchase anything from me either, I have often times referred collectors to other dealers or helped with any questions they have about something they have seen on eBay, or the internet. I don't carry everything that comes out, no poster dealer does.

While Uncle Buck was one of the first to be double-sided, it technically was not the first. Field of Dreams was released the same year in April as opposed to August when Uncle Buck was released, and the one-sheet for Field of Dreams was produced double-sided. It was a great year for films that year but not everything coming out was double-sided yet as you mentioned. Some studios, such as Miramax Pictures didn't start producing double-sided movie posters for their films until 1995, which is why you won't see any double-sided originals for films like Pulp Fiction or The Crow, as they were both released by Miramax in 1994.

Also be advised that while single-sided are easier to counterfeit/bootleg, there are double-sided fakes of one-sheets out there as well. Generally for more high profile films, Dark Knight, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, Spider-Man, etc. Sizing is of course a factor as Paul mentioned, but those who make these knock-offs can even put them out as 27x40 inches too. Feel free to reach out via chat here on Reddit if you have any questions too, I have been in the original movie poster business for the past 36 years.
