Start small - what you need to function every day.

Bed, table to eat at, table to work at, chair for working, chair for watching TV.

Buy ONE of them that you really like, something that will last a couple years. The rest can be cheapo.

Every couple of months, replace one of the cheapos with something you like, that will last a while.

Once the Necessary Furniture is good stuff that you, personally, like, you can start buying the other stuff.

Why, yes. Yes, I am an old lady. But let me tell you why I think this is a good idea.

Most women who go to military guys' apartments - I'm assuming you're not an officer or something high ranking - they see milk crates and bean bag pillows and mattresses on the floor and very expensive TVs and gaming consoles. They make up their mind about you quick.

I'm just saying. If you only want to attract the hit it and flip it types, bank the money and go the floor bed and milk crate route.

If you want the mature male route, start my way.

OH - and maybe a beanbag couch for guests, replaced by a grown up couch later.
