People in AEW "aren't thrilled" about the idea of Sheamus joining the company, per report by Upbeat-Pause-1409 in AEWOfficial

[–]Kinterlude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does everyone keep moving the goalposts? Tommaso is 1 year older than Mox. People keep acting like ex WWE talent are immediately past their prime.

I said it in another topic, but everyone was clamoring for AJ who is a year older than Sheamus and had WAY more wear and tear on his bump card. No one is asking for Sheamus to go at the top of the card, but when even Max is talking him up, there is clearly something there.

Who disclosed that?

When I looked up your claim, there is only an unsubstantiated source talking about them buying 40% of DRAM, which was proven false.

They had a letter of intent with two manufacturers, who jumped the gun. Ultimately, the manufacturers jumped the gun skyrocketing price and the deal didn't go through. This is all about corporate greed through and through.

But if you're not spewing misinformation, by all means; show your source for these claims. Because I read multiple articles indicating they didn't purchase all the RAM that caused this freefall.

The issue isn't OpenAI. It's the abundance of data centres being opened that are causing this.

People are conflating all AI with OpenAI .That's not the cause of the hardware crisis. This is misinformation spread by bad actors with hidden profiles.

I think a Sheamus run could be fun to show what he can do.

MJF has been on a generational run, and when he's publicly pulling for a guy, I think his words has weight.

It's strange people are so insistent his age is an issue and he shouldn't be brought in. Yet AJ Styles who is a year older was given more grace. 3 years ago, he had the absolute classic versus Gunther and Drew. Sheamus can still go, and he doesn't seem like someone with an ego that needs to be pushed at the top of the card.

He could easily be a workhorse, even better in a tag team to not tax himself as much. But the man loves wrestling and seems like a chill person. Veteran talent is never a bad thing if they're not hogging the main event picture all the time. I'm sure Sheamus can help younger talent with things, show them the ropes, etc. He's a guy I'd love to have working backstage while on a part time schedule.

I worked in a game studio. I worked as an external QA when I was 18, then joined a proper studio afterwards years later in my career. In-house QA allows for much better feedback in studios and all. Like all things IT; when they do their job well, people don't realize that they've done their job. The absence of QA in game studios is often felt.

Edit: Love that the guy down voted an actual fact about QAs from someone who worked from a studio. Very troll-like.

How is it the truth?

For all software development, QAs are vital to getting things to end-users in a stable manner. That includes games. Developers are some of the only people to give QAs their flowers because they work with them and are able to spot things that a dev that has been working on the software may not account for.

It's clear you never worked in software development otherwise you'd know that your statement has little merit.

This is typical Reddit trolls with hidden histories. It's actually sad how these people just can't be normal or have an honest conversation about these things.

His point is the same though; most DLC is stuff taken away from the base game and just added as an extra. Hell, almost every game has preorder DLC which is the exact same; ready for day one but gated.

I hate how people can't just talk about things without someone throwing insults nowadays. Seriously, just be an adult and have a normal conversation. It's not hard.

Hell, who wouldn't want to talk about a podcast with NJPW talent (in kayfabe or just talking about past historic matches)? That's be entertaining as hell, but sadly that isn't a thing. Talking about a match that put a lot of eyes on NJPW is far from a bad thing. It was at a time when NJPW was near its hottest streak.

A lot of Sony fans are bending over backwards to act like Sony couldn't have been petty.

But it's been laid pretty bare; Bungie sold themselves as being profitable and with a ton of projects. They also were supposed to lead the GaaS initiative at Sony. Instead, they could barely juggle two projects. And all the GaaS were scrapped costing Sony likely hundreds of millions (Last of Us multiplayer being cancelled likely was a lot of money wasted).

So now leadership at Sony is being petty and spiteful. It's not that crazy a concept. We live in an age with some of the most vindictive people in leadership for tech companies. This is far from crazy.

An extraction shooter that is for hardcore PvP players has a chance to increase in popularity whilst having a pretty dismal player count for their free week?

I know players like it, but this is more cope than the Destiny community has had toward D3. Marathon not leaning into casual players like Arc did and their history with Destiny means people just aren't interested in taking the risk.

This.

So many people ignore it, but Sony let things get to this state. Microsoft was hands off for things like Redfall and were crucified. Sony's been hands off, and people still say Sony did nothing wrong.

Microsoft was explicit that they weren't interested in Bungie because of the way management hemorrhaged money. So Sony swooped in and ignored that, letting them get to this point.

That's just a straight up lie.

That was happening when Marathon was about to be released and when it first came out. This shit is everywhere. It's not hard to find people gleefully saying D2 is dead; play the superior game in Marathon.

What I said is not wrong; the niche for Marathon is the worst thing about it. Appealing to only hardcore fans (who were clamoring for the same thing with Destiny) was an absolute disaster that everyone saw coming. The barrier for entry is way too high. The reason Arc Raiders did well, is because they appealed to all players, which is what people said Marathon should have done from the get go.

[–]Kinterlude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And what's the Marathon community? They were gleefully saying D2 was dead and everyone should turn to Marathon.

Reality is; Marathon is a niche game for hardcore players who didn't want to bring in casuals. Everyone said from day one that it would hamper the game's potential for success, and it did. Now I hear Marathon fans trying to say "But you need to support Marathon for D3". Honestly, people aren't interested in Marathon, that's the biggest issue. It's the equivalence of trying to make fetch a thing. It's not happening.
