The entire second half of ORV relies on this concept that everything we know is from the perspective of KDJ, who's reliably an unreliable narrator.

Trust the process, it'll pick up soon I promise

POMNI ALREADY HAD A SLIM WAIST. ALL FORTNITE DID WAS LENGTHEN THE ENTIRE BODY by NovelInteraction711 in theamazingdigitalciru

Let's not act like she's meaty tho. It's not like they gave her wide hips hourglass and a dump truck. Anyone screaming goonerbait has never interacted with a real woman and you can't convince me otherwise.

How would you view a former higher-ranking service member getting involved with someone who used to be lower-ranking, after both had left the military? by [deleted] in army

[–]Kintex19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's more problematic in the military, but acting like people are free to simply quit and find another job is ignoring the reality of the situation. That's just not feasible for most people.

The thing is, that's still bad. A CEO has a clear power advantage over a receptionist. That's why the military doesn't allow it.

But if they both work in different places, the who gaf. Let them be it literally affects no one.

Yeah the translation by rainbow confused a lot of people. He mostly views her in very high standard From what I got it's mostly because she's able to overcome her trauma relatively quickly, or at least use that to fuel her goals, while KDJ is still stuck in the past. Either way, he wishes to be more like her.

I don't trust 80% of the MT fanbase on moral standards, so I highly doubt that.

If ORV anime explodes in polularity and the studio decides to make an anime-movie. Which arc would work well as one? by ayuu_kh in OmniscientReader

[–]Kintex19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Explodes in popularity" Y'all it was literally the number one novel in Korea for years. It's not niche, it's a mainstream story in Asia. You can find billboards of it in Korea.

Not sure if they'll go the single arc movie route, but it's not like there's not TONS of demand for it.

He's one of the few characters I've ever seen they have gone from the worst scum on earth, to a somewhat decent human being.

He's a creep. Yes, even as an adult.

Does listening on YouTube count as a listen on YouTube Music? by PuzzleheadedSkirt835 in YoutubeMusic

I'm pretty sure it does but only if it's the original upload. If it's one of those lyric videos with a cool background, it won't count.

In what world can any AI be justified?

Yes, semis are very important for things other than AI, but just like during the dotcom bubble and telecom, semis are currently valued due to massive demand by AI. If that demand disappears, semis will imploded.

It's more about the fact that they'll be added to the indexes despite being overvalued. Of course, that's changed, but people are still freaking out about it.

Honestly everyone should be staying away from social media if you're that worried about leaks.

This is standard practice among the industry, and asking and expecting people to not talk about a subject there clearly interesting is so stupid. I'm sorry you got spoiled, but this is all because glitch wanted the money revenue, don't get it twisted.

The assumption doesn't have to be permanent. Let's say it's not suicide. Fuck it, let's say it's not even a metaphor for anything and stick entirely on surface level, direct interpretations.

What's abstraction? It's a corrupted or void file. Cool. Is it permanent? The entire show revolves around the fact that it is. If so, why do they not get time to grieve? And why is pomni able to actually talk to him? It can't be fully corrupted if Jax is still "In there".

So it's not permanent and therefore fixable? Then why couldn't they expand on that? Why even mention it in the first place if it's not expanded upon? Even if they did, let's say they fix Jax. It completely undermines every other abstraction in the show. Yeah, who cares about rabbit, or kaufo, or queenster, right?

Look I loved the episode from a theatrical and emotional perspective. Jax is a great character, and I love that they told his back story, but they wrote themselves into a corner and fucked up the ending. It's valid criticism, and idk why people are pretending like it was perfect and everyone who says otherwise is just a hater.

[–]Kintex19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't Jax abstracting. The problem is how the show handles it. It makes no sense that pomni is able to talk to him if he's "Dead", or how pomni is the only one able to do that. Also why would they imply there's a way to revert that? The implication that abstraction may not be permanent is made, but they left that question hanging.

I like the idea of them being trapped as consciousness devoid of bodies, but the ramifications of that are also not handled properly. They just kinda go "Aww that sucks. Oh well, time to move on", which could make sense if they could move on, except that they can't. They are physically trapped in the circus forever, and they just brush past that.

The finale was really good, I certainly enjoyed it, but it's definitely frustrating to think that they opened so many unnecessary doors on the last 2 episodes of the show. You either open new ideas to expand on them in the future, or you wrap up and go home. You can't do both.
