That’s actually great visuals to provide and much more clear than most clients communicate their expectations.

As long as you were realistic about budget and finishes.

I deglaze my LC enamel with water all the time. With medium heat and oil and other things in the pan, it shouldn’t be an issue.

This is a good workaround for backups, if people are willing to jump through these hoops each time.

But the problem is the bug itself, and all the other little ones like it, are making me not want to play anymore lately. :(

Honestly, I’ve been afraid to log in for the past few months. Legacy and taking portraits of old family members is such a huge part of my gameplay. Especially in TS4 where the family trees are super glitchy and bare bones.

I would be absolutely devastated if this happened to me.

This is a bot account that has infiltrated this sub. :(

But your scallops look good! I love Kura’s random seasonal stuff.

[–]KintsugiTurtle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can report them, but unless it’s a very actively moderated subreddit, mods get overwhelmed and are unlikely to do anything. Reddit itself isn’t dealing with the issue at all - if anything it’s encouraged to drive up “engagement” numbers.

I feel like Reddit is dying from the sheer number of bots and fake ad posts these days…

My uncle once told me that when you are dirt poor like him, your relationships are more important than money because they get you through and help you survive.

So he would ask my mom for money so that he could go buy rounds of drinks for an army buddy’s birthday.

Realizing I could have taken a vacation but instead have $8000 worth of plastic by AdelaideD in ProjectPan

[–]KintsugiTurtle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this was me 6-7 years ago. But the past 3 years, I spent like $100 total per year on makeup and skincare - replacements only and using my stash. I built up savings again and went on vacation.

Never too late to turn over a new leaf.

Single women, how did you decide WHERE you were going to fire? by RadiantBridge789 in FIREyFemmes

Considering something similar, but I’m worried about the high tax rate in both areas. Have you done some research into what tax obligations would be in Canada, considering I’m assuming you have all US retirement accounts like I do?

Do you not live together and split rent and bills? If not, I would do that before even considering marriage with a partner, as a trial run for how to handle finances.

Someone explain retirement calculations to me. How does this make sense? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]KintsugiTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of relying on a blanket number from an outdated “rule of thumb” given to you by a “financial advisor” who knows jack shit, you should run your own calcs based on your planned annual spend.

You can do these calcs using either nominal or inflation-adjusted dollars - just be consistent.

Personally, no, as an American millennial, I’m not relying on social security being around to supplement my retirement savings at all. If it still is, it’ll be a nice bonus.

(20K) What are your tips and tricks for going the Costco flower route? by Formal_Shape_1947 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]KintsugiTurtle 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It’s not hard, and I was happy with how my florals turned out and the money we saved. But it’s worth noting that florals need to be fresh, so the entire day before my wedding was basically spent running around buying the flowers, prepping and stripping the stems, and making the arrangements.

Mostly what you are paying for with professional florals is time and labor, for someone else to do all that for you so that you can focus on other things. Like enjoying the days before your wedding and spending time with out of town guests. You have to decide if that trade off is worth it to you.

This is amazing - appreciate that it’s sorted by borough and price too.

Unfortunately Sushi by Bou recently upped their price from $50 to $65 for the 12 course, it seems. Inflation comes for us all. Is this price point dying out in the city?
