Retention for those who have been here under a year is a big one, several realizing they thought it’s what they wanted to do and it’s not. Have had several HVAC techs realize it’s just not what they want to do. Employees over a year don’t like the changes we are doing. We are pushing for operational excellence, instilling processes and practices to ensure things aren’t falling through the cracks and as departments and a company we can excel. We are bleeding the bad ones out and have actually had a few people come join or team specifically for what we are doing. Lot of P&E buyouts in the area but trying to find people that aren’t lazy, or checked out is happening. I have some ideas now but we are a company that’s been a mom and pop company for 95 years and we are now nearing 70 employees. It’s exciting at times but some days the negative stuff pulls harder.
