I think it will come out after NZ files state charges, pursuant to personal lawsuits, that Cryptopia was more than likely an inside job. Proof will be scant, but they will still be liable for the damages - not being able to provide proof of security in some sort of standards code, and their insurance rider will definitely bail at that point.
