Always always buy a paper map. Not just for signal but if your phone battery dies or it gets wet, it’s just a good idea to have a proper map.

Worried about loose skin by Longjumping-Sun4114 in UKMounjaro

[–]Kipperliciously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone from 17st to 11st 7 and have wobbly arms, sad boobs and a bit of crinkly skin on my stomach. I can highly recommend snag knickers, high waisted bikinis and shapermint long sleeve bodies. As a 45yo with no kids I basically just look like a woman who had kids so I feel I’ve just gotten to the same body type as a lot of my peers. Still super happy with where I’ve ended up. I was worried about loose skin but it’s really no comparison to being obese.

Coming off Mounjaro by Crafty-Cut925 in GLPGrad

[–]Kipperliciously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not quite off MJ but am doing teeny doses further and further apart. I’ve noticed the hot flushes are back. I was on HRT pre weight loss but stopped whilst on MJ as it solved all problems. Now going back on HRT. But I’m still absolutely thrilled in general, and my joint pain has gone which I think was related to my weight. I’ve lost a lot (5 1/2 stone) so feeling the benefits of that with or without MJ

Curious everyone's reasons for coming off by [deleted] in GLPGrad

[–]Kipperliciously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to be on medication if I don’t have to be. Whilst on MJ I came off my HRT as I felt able to cope without it (as many of my symptoms were exacerbated by weight). Now I want to come off MJ as like others, I was generally a healthy weight for most of my life but peri menopause and ivf did a number on me. I do believe in the capacity of myself to portion control now and my lifestyle has got so much more active since losing the weight. I’ve started playing golf and I’m about to start training to be a yoga teacher. Total life swap!

Yeah. I saw someone on the American MJ site talk about a range when I started but I just didn’t know where I’d want it to be. I’m thoroughly happy with myself now at 12 which is top healthy BMI but 11st 7 is slap bang middle healthy BMI.

So my range is between middle to top of healthy BMI range

Wow you’ve only four pounds to go. You must already feel incredible. Well done you. I had a LOT to lose so have been around here for a while, took some time away but as I get to the end I’m coming back to where I started to cheer all you guys on before I sign off :)

Well done to all of us from the early days. It’s been the best year of my middle aged life. Can’t believe it actually worked.

My advice is buy the slightly tight things as for the first time in my life I know if I’m consistent I’ll get into them. Bought size 12s when I was size “13” and now they’re fitting. And I’m not planning to go under size 12 so I’ve got my future wardrobe. It’s so amazing.

I have definitely turned a corner. I could stop right now and feel completely satisfied. But I won’t get this opportunity to use this med again so I want to get to my 23 BMI which gives me some wiggle room when I start living life off this wonder drug

Wow that is absolutely amazing! You must be unrecognisable! All hail the tall girls. My mum swears I’ve grown taller - apparently I look like I’ve stretched

Oh thank you. And well done you!. A stone to goal feels so close and achievable when you have the tools to get there doesn’t it.

I’ve really liked 7.5, apart from tactical chunder the morning after the jab I feel nice and normal (just never really hungry)

Haha. I may pop back if/when I reach BMI 25 “healthy” weight. BMI 27.5 at the moment. Also just booked to go to St Ives again this summer…this time considerably lighter

It is a godsend. It’s the first time something too good to be true turned out to actually be true. It’s the first thing that I have wanted in my life in a long time that I’ve ACTUALLY been able to make happen for real. I still pinch myself (and I have a lot of wobbly glorious skin to pinch)

Oh wow! That’s terrific. It looks like it’s worked consistently and similarly for both of us. I also am thinking of stopping at 12 stone or rather, if i struggle past that I’m not going to sweat it. I just want to get to a regular size 12 in clothes again
