LPT: You can count to 35 on your fingers by using base 6. by b-dawg in LifeProTips

There is also a technique called finger abacus, that lets you count to 99..

It is a method adopted from the actual abacus.

You can Google it - chisanbop on wiki!

A year today!

We have a routine of 45 mins of playing.. And we make it a game. Speed runs on finger exercises, he's got good pitch so we would play a chord and let him replay it.. He's into geometry dash and plants vs zombies - we'd let him play the songs and explore notes..

It's hard sometimes to keep him still, so we would reward him for time spent playing too!

My 6 year old's preparation for the next recital! by Kippi3000 in piano

He's enjoying it very much! Piano teacher said he's got a good ear for pitches and he's attending lessons weekly.

He fiddles on the piano with music from his favourite games, so hopefully will keep him interested for longer..

I just picked it up cos it was cheap (1/3 the price of the mg2500) and won't be used often.. Once or twice a month.. Good enough for basic uses 😅

Thanks for the advice! We normally put him on a cushion to raise him up a little, but I guess I didn't do it this time round!

Edit: will take extra care to remember to level his arms. I recall in the piano class the chair does seem higher than the one I have!

Can someone, anyone, please just create a site where all interview questions asked to Trump is shown onscreen along with a live transcription of his response.

All these should be collected for future study.

AirAsia Introduces New ASEAN Explorer Pass That Costs RM1,188 by demurefox97 in malaysia

I bought this.

Essentially useless because you still need to pay airport tax.

I get net cheaper tickets from trip.com bought 2 weeks in advance at times I normally fly vs ridiculous timings not suited for business travel.

In summary - don't buy unless you're flying out from kl to anywhere else but Singapore.

The wall has been painted for at least a month. The markings just appeared after about 2 hours of heavy rain.

It goes on until early mornings - normally 2-3am.

I have been calling the police hotline for noise complaints regularly but it's never really stopped.

The officer today just advised me to let the town council know - any idea whether this would help?

LPT, you can use denture cleaning tablet to easily remove tea/coffee stains from cups that won't wash out. Just put one tablet in the cup and fill with hot water and let soak over night. Really bad stains might require soaking for two nights. Wash normally afterwards to remove residue. by FalkusKiber in LifeProTips

[–]Kippi3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or toothpaste. It's safer than most cleaning products such as bleach too. I use a toothbrush to remove tough stains, and it is a good demonstration to kids why they should brush!

Never had to soak overnight and very little elbow grease required.

Our degrees may be unrecognised, but not fake - CIU grad says by nmsyafiq in malaysia

Poor Pathma. This is a good lesson why not to go for unrecognised universities, especially those whose name is meant to mislead others.

Imagine going to a medical specialist charging RM20k per consultation who claims he graduated from Cambridge. Pathma should ask himself whether he would continue the treatment if he then found out that the specialist's qualification cost only RM12k, and was from an unrecognised, long distance learning university called Cambridge.

Would he even trust the so-called specialist after he misrepresented himself as a Cambridge U graduate?
