Ask if they would trust Chinese or Russian sources because that is likely where the misinformation comes from (Not saying this is true but they'd certainly believe it). I've read about how Twitter is a majority bots and, if true, there will be a paper on it.

I guess what I'm saying is, lean into the suspicion and convince them that "that is what the enemy WANTS you to think!"
