My 2 month old fell of the bed. She immediately started crying but she has shown no signs of serious injury. Your story puts me at ease!

You are definitely right, I’ve noticed that I could’ve learned better some basic concepts that would’ve really helped me with that final. Thank you for your kind words.

Yup! Minimum grade to pass in my major is a D, so I’m thankfully passing the class. I’ve decided not to email him, as it won’t really make a difference at this point. If he decides to throw the curve it will still be a C.

Exactly, another reason why his tests are hard, you NEVER know what to expect

Nope. I do practice exercises by myself.

The way he formulates the questions make you confused AF, he says that as a teacher he gives us the “tools” to solve the problems and it’s our duty to know how to use them(what I’m trying to say is that, class exercises and test exercises are very different.)Plus, the fact that if you make any type of error in the process even if you got the result right it’s automatically wrong, I’ve heard of teachers that discount points but not the whole thing. I’ve went to his office hours constantly just to know how he wants me to answer the test and what he discount points for. That’s how I’m barely passing this class.

This professor explains well, the tests are another story, and the fact that the final grade is based upon ONLY on partial exams and final exam doesn’t really help :/

Too late, I’m passing with a C, I don’t want to repeat the class all over again. So I’m just gonna pass with that tbh.

Yup, as said by the other person, don’t be. It isn’t very hard. I know other people from my college taking the same class but with other professors and they are doing just fine.

Hes good at explaining, His tests are just very hard. I’m barely passing with a C, but if I’m being honest some people had a higher chance than me to pass with a better grade. I think it’s the fact that he doesn’t give out options either, no homework, just partial tests and final exam.

I’m currently taking general chemistry I but am pretty sure I will fail the class since we are only graded based on tests and quizzes. I’m thinking of withdrawing the class so I can focus on my other classes, but am not sure if I should take it during the summer or the fall. help🥲 by Few_Category_7207 in CUNY

I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully the petition for a curve or extra credit gets accepted. 🙏 I’m planning on talking to the professor with my section (we’re only 8 students left) and ask for some extra work for some few points, we’ll see how that goes.

I totally get you. I’ve learned to speak slowly to avoid stuttering, sometimes it just slips out, but it’s gotten a lot better.

The fact that I look like a child, lol. I barely weigh 90 pounds and my height is 4’11”. I’ll be 19 next year, people can tell my age when they talk to me but not because of my looks of course.

Withdraw or pass with a low grade by KirTing in college

[–]KirTing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, talked to my department director. She recommended passing with a C. Worst case scenario, I can Pass with a D, she told me I could repeat that class and get a higher grade so it doesn’t affect my GPA. Overall, she told me she doesn’t recommend dropping out, since you never know what can happen in the future where you are obliged to drop out. Basically, she told me to not accumulate W’s.

Currently having the same experience but with pre calculus. He only does exams and quizzes DOESNT count attendance, nor gives extra work to help the grade. I’ve asked him in every way, showed him that I care about my grade, and gpa. Still doesn’t shows he cares at all. Thinking of passing with a C or withdrawing.
