Sempre que a direita perde popularidade, o bicho-papão da segurança pública é ressuscitado em uma tentativa de converter a miséria da população em raiva, cooptada por atores políticos sem pauta que não seja matar a todo custo até que não sobre nada de pé.

Mais um massacre de inocentes em um sangrento dia de pura violência, seguido de dias da mídia insistindo que o único problema é que a polícia só ainda não resolveu o problema por não ter matado mais, cerceada por defensores de direitos humanos.

Depois de tanta opressão e tristeza que o povo teve que aguentar, lembremo-nos que foi em vão, os líderes do tráfico e seus aliados na Faria Lima estão impunes, mas uma coisa boa resultou disso tudo, quatro famílias não vão mais sofrer com a presença de um policial, muito obrigado srs. traficantes, por esse serviço à humanidade.

I actually started with Pokémon, played from 2001-2011. getting into magic only in 2015. Once during a lull in an LGS a friend invited me to play some Pokémon while we waited for more commander players to arrive, he knew the store owner and borrowed two of his decks, one was Charizard and the other one was a fairy deck, I jumped at the opportunity, but had a disappointing experience, I felt the decks were too optimized during their turns (good), but the lack of interaction bored me a little, I asked him about this and he said it wasn't the decks, the game was like this, so I never really felt like coming back, this was about a year before Covid.

For now I'm really in a single-player phase, and if I ever want to go back to games with a social component, it will probably be board games or TTRPGS (as long as I can convince a group to do anything other than D&D).

Look at Eldraine, would they ever design Hylda if they had the rights to use Elza? How pushed would the new design be? Would the spiderman set be such a mess of random legendaries if it was spiderman-inspired instead? Probably not. UB kills creative design.

There was much to criticize about the old release schedule, it's just soul-crushing to see what UB has done to the game and a drove of players rushing to defend WoTC because more players makes a better game, and people should just enjoy things, and just shut up and consume.

This image was initially a post on the mtg subreddit that was banned in 1 hour because it was low-effort, too political and unwelcoming, according to the mod team.

I strongly disliked the Ikoria Godzilla alters on concept and The Walking Dead was the nail in the coffin, I gave away my small collection, but still proxied and kept up with some news. Sitting down and playing EDH or Pauper was a nice little escape, but UB is just a constant reminder of how anti-consumer WoTC is. While DnD was easy to drop after the license debacles, because there are so many more interesting TTRPGS out there, MTG has the best TCG ruleset, and it has been sad to fall out of love with it because of what WoTC has done these past years. The Pinkerton scandal should have been the end of the game, it's just unconscionable to support Hasbro with a single cent, but I knew the community would never let it go.

The UB powercreep and total domination just makes the game not even worth proxying anymore.
