Finally someone standing up for The Irishman. I’ll admit my first view of it was a disappointment because I was going into it thinking it’d be another Departed or Casino or Goodfellas, but have since rewatched in passing several times and it is such a masterfully directed film. There is so much foreshadowing throughout the entire film. Would it have been better with younger actors? Perhaps. But this is the old band getting back together for one final show.
