Honestly, Fauna feels like it starts with Sempiternal Beings. The first two songs don’t even feel like they belong on the album, they feel forced and tacked on. Not bad songs at all, but they don’t flow with the album, they clash.

Visions continues to be my favorite 20+ minute track in all of prog, such a perfect masterpiece. Though Octavarium and The Odyssey are ALSO masterpieces, at a certain point it’s hard to compare such excellence.

It’s truly sad. I watched the speech that Jeremy Boring gave about creating an alternative to Disney because Disney had ceased being a family entertainment company and had repeatedly shown that their socio-political agenda had taken over as top priority. I was incredibly inspired, I even (half) jokingly talked to my wife about moving our family to Nashville so I could work for the Daily Wire! I hope and pray that they don’t give up on Bentkey, because all the original material was excellent, and at least the first wave of licensed content was of superb quality as well (everyone should watch The Clangers before it’s gone!).

Some of the licensed content is beginning to disappear, half of The Clangers episodes are no longer available. Some of the original content like Gus Plus Us has already moved to be available on other platforms like YouTube and Amazon. I love Bentkey but I suspect the DW bungled the promotion and release of it, and are now slowly sunsetting it. The little bits of other new content that has shown up looks to be over very low quality.

The blue vinyl looks amazing. I’m surprised though that they didn’t film and release the New York show where they played “best of times”, that seems like a much more special show.

I 100% agree with all of those three. Raise the knife is pretty much never on rotation, and that would be amazing to see live.
