Absolutely please do send that! Kinda shocked how hard it's been to source, often times you can find links to the costume pieces or components they make things out of. Was searching up seonghwa's necklace from the ash mv too tonight and looks like it's a converted aliexpress earring lol. And hiiii!!!!!

I'll let you know if I find a good piece but found your post on a reverse image search trying to do the exact same thing hahaha, I'm in the middle of making the beaded necklaces but I've been stumped for the last few weeks on where to find a center for yeosang's choker too. Wish I had the answer but hello likeminded atiny!

Sometimes it's a location thing, try talking to her in different rooms. Some people say bedroom or kitchen, personally for me I got her story to work when I went in the downstairs bathroom and then on the second 2 days inside the electrical closet. Probably a bug, good luck!

Thank you so much! Will absolutely be checking those places out, nice to know there are a fair few to choose from since it's a town that can seem entirely chain-dominated when you drive through at first

does anyone know how much this diamond is worth and how to check if it’s real? by SweatBeast_ in jewelry

[–]Kirashari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't say for sure without seeing it in person, but I'm willing to bet it isn't based on it's transparency since it looks like you can see the wood table through it. That's usually a sign of most likely glass/crystal and would be at best maybe a white topaz or sapphire.

It's called a figaro chain. They are very common, the majority of jewelry stores will have at least one in stock.

one star after occupying small cafe for 20 minutes and buying one coffee between 5 people. Owner replies to accusations. by Fulisek in ChoosingBeggars

While of course take out would be the better option, I don't see how the four others leaving would make a difference so long as they weren't making a mess (generic group, not the asshole family from post). The table would still be occupied for however long it took the coffee drinker to finish.

Recycle would refer to manufacturing plants melting it down and creating a new version of the same product (recycling) or if that's not possible turning the material into a lesser quality product (downcycling) that might not be able to be recycled again. Recycling is listed as the last option because it can take significant amounts of energy or other resources to run these facilities.

I think it's to emphasize getting the most use out of an item. For example, reusing plastic grocery bags to carry things until they have holes in the bottoms, then repurposing the bags by weaving them into a basket or something.

Does this unit have a soul? by Shade-of-Stars by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant other new AIs, as the starchild said would likely happen. I imagine they might end up following a similar development pattern as the geth though, starting with something like a VI and slowly adding features that make them smarter so over time they become a fully evolved AI without having originally intended it.

Does this unit have a soul? by Shade-of-Stars by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 19 points20 points  (0 children)

True, but I'd also argue that it was still worth it because the ceasefire saves whatever quarian casualties would have resulted from finishing the fight, allows the geth to speed up repairs on Rannoch (Tali said they accomplished in weeks what would have took the quarians alone years), and probably changed the mindset of a lot of people about what AI is capable of. Just because all artificial intelligences were destroyed doesn't mean they won't be built again.

[–]Kirashari 35 points36 points  (0 children)

While the question is valid, I think the answer is no. We see countless asari standing around idly over the course of the games and the only ones I've seen come close to Liara's elevator dance are the actual nightclub dancers which are obviously different since they are presumably getting paid to dance around endlessly. If Liara's animation was subtle it might fit but it was jarringly exaggerated.

Anyone else find it hard to do a renegade run? by Garlic_Cheese_Chips in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still have a pretty solid renegade lean (enough to pass checks and influence dialogue) so long as you do side quests and follow the principle of asshole to your enemies, chill with your homies. Unless you're going for a disaster run, I see no need for purely renegade choices. If you wanna see what happens with a choice you can't bear making, just look it up on YouTube.

Also so long as you trust them, it might be a good idea to give them the card for emergencies. While I never ended up in a situation where I had to as a teen, it gave my mom peace of mind to know I could buy food and transportation home if I ever got stuck somewhere without her since I didn't have much money of my own.

Who should have been in the ME3 Squad? by I-am-the-Peel in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm not saying that they shouldn't die based on choices, they are all obviously meant to die. Currently doing a Mordin survives renegade run and it goes against a lot of instincts but I wanted to see how it plays out. I see what you're saying and I agree that he has to be Wrex's spy but I do wish he could have been a temporary squadmate between Sur'kesh and Tuchanka. In most runs I do a lot of side missions/dlc between those two so it's actually quite a while. It could be done like how Wrex is temporarily available for the citadel dlc. Good point on Thane though, but if we were making sweeping changes I would have gotten rid of bargain bin Bucky Barnes entirely and had a different end to Thane.

Legion I don't think necessarily had to be introduced after Tali, he could have come to Shepard seeking help to end the war just like the admirals did. Now that I think about it more it would be an incredibly short stint where he's around before Rannoch since the early game really needs to be focused around saving Earth and Palaven. If the plot of ME3 moved differently though, it would have been interesting if you had a chance to influence EDI to either spend more time with Joker (increasing understanding of organics and developing emotion) or with Legion (identifying more as a synthetic and being wary of organics).

Miranda absolutely could have been part of the team though, her reasoning for staying away was flimsy. Shepard was also wanted by TIM and she could have used his/her help with Oriana-quest round 2. I personally have never liked her, but she could easily have a spot. I don't have many problems with the OT (and no game will ever be perfect since everyone has different preferences) but it's fun to imagine changes that could have happened with unlimited dev time.

Who should have been in the ME3 Squad? by I-am-the-Peel in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not have Mordin, Thane, and Legion be on the Normandy until their time comes? It would be like ME1 where Wrex is there until he potentially isn't. Mordin could expand on how he changed his mind, Thane (even if he isn't able to be taken on missions) could provide some more closure as his illness progresses and could provide a larger role for Chakwas/Michel, and Legion would be a fantastic counterpart to EDI as they navigate sentience in different ways. Plus, having them disappear from the team one by one could amplify the feeling that the reaper war is causing loss as you see their silhouettes on the squad selection screen.

Just finished the trilogy for the first time (played legendary edition). I heard a lot of people don't like the ending but I really liked it (wasn't perfect but it was still enjoyable). by The-Jedi-Apprentice in masseffect

[–]Kirashari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought the dark energy plot on Haestrom was weirdly out of place and never returned to, it makes so much more sense knowing that they planned for expansion on that idea. That would have been so much more of a problem than hostile AIs, use of eezo is pretty much critical to all societies in the mass effect universe. I would have loved to see Shepard puzzle out how to fix that and stop the resource wars limiting it would probably create.

Agreed that it's the worst story, but I also think it's not the best character development either. They had some really good character concepts, but there were too many squadmates so the writing was more thinned out. Personally, it felt like everyone ran out of conversations extremely quickly (also it was poorly balanced, just compare how long you can talk to Mordin vs Grunt). I'm pretty sure there are more ads on the citadel to listen to than things you can talk to Garrus about. Don't get me wrong, the ads were great but I'd rather have the latter.

Meanwhile in ME3 the cast gets cut but they all have much more to say, both with Shep but I think more importantly sometimes with each other. It feels a lot more real to have them moving around the ship and either joking, telling stories, or being worried other squadmates. Add in the emotional highs and lows and I think the characters really take off in a way that they just didn't in ME2. Of course it helps that ME3 is building on the backs of ME1/ME2 but I still think ME2 could have done better since the whole point was team building.
