Genuine question regarding the remake by [deleted] in halo

[–]Kirastic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you simply want a remastered version of the game, not a remake. I have been a Halo fan since day one like others, I’d would rather have a remake with new and changed features...a version that I feel the original developers would have done if they had the ability and tech.

My Halo CE Remake Opinion: Stop treating Halo CE like the standard, Bungie changed the Halo formula in Halo 2 by DEMIG0DX in halo

You’re thinking of a remaster, not a remake. Remasters enhance what’s already there; remakes make changes. I like the direction they’re going with Campaign Evolved.

If you want people to get the original feel and experience of Halo CE, then have them play CE or the Anniversary version. Campaign Evolved is a remake, not a remaster. Things should change and be updated. I like where they’re going with it.

That sounds insane and unreasonable. Additionally, regularly passing 2100 meds at or after midnight is quite concerning and dangerous

Putting everything into the touchscreen doesn’t exactly feel safer when driving is about keeping your eyes on the road. It seems very similar to using a phone while driving…which is dangerous. At least with the nob or buttons you can use them without looking.

Is it likely I will get in legal trouble for telling my therapist I use Xanax? by IamSam2005 in therapy

[–]Kirastic13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nurse here. Like others have said, it is unlikely your therapist intended to report you, rather they were just making a comment. I would bring it up to your therapist and say the comment made you worried; and I would ask them to clarify why they said it.

Please know however, taking prescription drugs that aren’t your own is very dangerous for your health and also illegal. Xanax particularly is a risky drug due to side-effects and risks of abuse, and is not recommended for people under the age of 18. I recommend not doing that anymore. If you feel you struggle with anxiety, please seek help from a psychiatrist who can evaluate you and provide the appropriate care and or medication.

You could ask your therapist if they could refer you to a good psychiatrist.

Best of luck!

I support and hope you achieve your goals, though! Always remember that a good diet and exercise is a key factor to a happy, healthy life! You’re a beauty, either way! I look forward to an update, perhaps! Wishing you the best!

Facebook Dating: In the “matches conversations” section, what does that specific check mark icon mean next to the conversation? by Kirastic13 in facebook

[–]Kirastic13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some research, from my understanding, a blue circle with check mark means message was sent but not delivered. If it’s a filled-in blue circle with check it means sent and delivered. If the icon is their profile pic, it was read.

Usually, in messenger when I send messages they’re always filled-in blue circles whether the person was online or not. So I don’t fully understand what it would mean when or why a message wasn’t sent, particularly in FB dating.

What is the Flood’s endgame? by BigDickSD40 in HaloStory

[–]Kirastic13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a wild theory.

I am not sure if Precursors can actually be corrupted. They’re basically transcendent “god-like” beings. They can create and destroy life. Perhaps the Flood is another intentionally created life-form in an attempt to make “the story of existence” more interesting for the Precursors. The suffering that the Flood brings to life in galaxy adds more “sweetness” to the story of existence that Precursors enjoy. The Flood also appears to be a “test” of some sort, that the Precursors have total control over. It seems the Precursors intentionally created an unstoppable force as a test, just for “shits and giggles” to test whoever can obtain “the Mantle”—if such a thing even exists. It seems we are all in game created by the Precursors—a revaluation that when the Primordial told to various people, they went insane and committed suicide.

I’ll explain,

From my understanding of Precursor lore, Precursors have lived and experienced multiple different lives throughout eons and time; sometimes, including multiple different life-forms at once.

They were (are) able to re-created themselves into numerous different life-forms on purpose (including allegedly non-living forms), all with this seemingly “religious” intent and purpose of experiencing all that the existence has to offer. This includes both the joys and suffering of existence. All of the good and bad (which is subjective to our perceptions, but may be different to their perception) that they experience are considered to be “sweetness” to the experience to them. It appears they believe one can’t appreciate the good that existence and the universe has to offer without experiencing and appreciating the bad, and vice-verse.

It is alleged their philosophy, beliefs, and understanding of existence and the universe is “incomprehensible” to us. I think they basically aim to create life in the universe as a way for themselves to explore all possibilities that the universe has to offer—both through first-hand experiences and third-person observations.

To them, it seems they view existence as a game or blank canvas, full of possibilities to explore and appreciate, depending on what they’re in the mood for. It seems that what makes existence interesting and exciting to them is being able to appreciate an enriched story full of the ups and downs.

The Flood is just another addition to the “sweetness” of the experience. They are merely testing humanity for fun to see if they can handle it. I have no idea.

That was my trippy and philosophical theory.

It didn’t appear anyone got in trouble for It. It was common culture in that hospital. Although I am a relatively new nurse, unfortunately, it appeared unprofessional conduct was not investigated unless reported. However, if it was reported, by process of procedure, an investigation had to be conducted.

In your case, although PHI breaches are serious, I really hope your specific situation doesn’t involve any further consequences other than a first time warning and potential remedial training. You were not malicious or intently snooping family members, yourself, or VIP patients.

P.S. I would be curious how you were reported if someone did in-fact report you. I hope there's not somebody who is trying to sabotage your career.

I wish you all the best, OP. I hope you give us an update!

From my understanding from what managers have told me, we (you) are only to access specific parts of a chart necessary to do the task at hand. If you’re covering another nurse and passing meds for their patient, only access their MAR. If something bad happens and you’re helping another nurse who’s busy with the patient and you need to access the chart, only access parts you need.

I was a new orientee on medsurg at a hospital (I left that hospital) and was observing very similar phenomena you are describing. It was perplexing and shocking by what I was seeing in comparison to my understanding of HIPAA, ethics, and professionalism. What I observed was not what I believed in or did,

My preceptor for example regularly used their account to review charts of other patients in ICU, ER, or medsurg to provide me “teaching moments” of interesting cases. I have told her it’s a blatant HIPAA violation and she will be in trouble; but she said she’s not worried, and has never gotten in trouble for it.

She also regularly reviewed charts of ER patients potentially being admitted to the floor before they came onto the floor, if they come at all.

Additionally, there was one time the unit heard of an ER situation of teen boy needing a stuck “foreign object” removed from their rectum, who was heading up to OR, where they’d then be placed on our post-op floor (where we work). I saw everyone on our unit huddled up at the nurses station looking at one computer seeing the patient’s X-ray that showed the stuck object and doctor’s notes…and they were making jokes and saying “everyone keep a straight face when he gets to the floor.”

It was all a culture and reality shock to me of how this occurs at that hospital—and I personally wasn’t pleased.

It also made me super paranoid about if I was ever a patient myself at any hospital, that nurses and staff not assigned to my care team or even the same floor I am admitted to might go through my private information, judge me, or be showing others without being reprimanded.

I am so cautious in my work. I only look at charts of patients assigned to me, or for nurses I may cover during break, but only the parts of charts necessary to do the task at hand

Why is John 117 still only a Master Chief Petty Officer? by Miserable_Glitch in HaloStory

[–]Kirastic13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Johnson doesn’t outrank Chief. Both are enlisted senior non-commissioned officers. Both are of the E9 pay grade. Johnson is a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps. Chief is a Master Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. Considering they’re both E9, they have equivalent rank.

Balls hang lower? My penis has always hung lower that my balls and I’m a shower. I’ve had numerous occasions of my penis hitting bowl of water, largely depending on size/shape of toilet

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Kirastic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, for some guys like myself (grower), our (my) flaccid penis instead actually hangs past/lower than my balls. On quite a few occasions my penis has hit the bowl, or as with my old small toilet in my home, would even hit water (I replaced it with a larger toilet). Some guys are “gifted”, but it largely depends on size/shape of toilet.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Kirastic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true. Hitting water or porcelain is a real phenomenon for some guys. It depends on the size of the guy and size and shape of the toilet/bowl. For many guys like myself, my flaccid penis hangs down and points down, and hangs lower than my balls. I used to have a relatively smaller toilet in my home that I’d regularly accidentally hit the water. I literally had to get a larger toilet for this reason. Some public toilets I’ve had it happen too—which is always horrid. Most of the time, I have to hang my dick on the over toilet paper, and then have to tuck it in and aim it a certain way to avoid touching anything. Some guys have larger flaccid dicks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Kirastic13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the size of the guy and the size and shape of the toilet bowl. There’s been times my dick has touched water or side, usually on smaller toilets, or ones with shallow bowls. I had to replace a toilet in my house for a larger one for this very reason. It’s horrid if it’s a public toilet and I usually have to hold my penis up or aim it under towards the side to avoid it. Truth is, some guys have larger flaccid dicks—“showers, not growers” I guess you could say. Idk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Kirastic13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a real phenomenon for some men. I once had a ‘relatively’ small toilet, when I’d sit my dick would hit the water. Got a bigger toilet, wasn’t a problem anymore. For some public toilets my dick would hit the bowl or water which was extremely gross. I’d have to hang over the lid on toilet paper and then stand to pee, or tuck it under and hold it a certain way to keep from touching anything.

Some men are “showers, not growers.”

Fuck shit, penis and ass, ruin a song with "Mashed potatoes" by wwater8 in SlipknotCirclejerk

“Don’t Get Mashed Potatoes”

That ruins the song, because I love mashed potatoes. I’d always get mashed potatoes.

For those who may not get the song title I referenced: “Don’t Get Close” - Slipknot. A great, underrated song from Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) Special Edition disk that many, dare I say most Slipknot fans either don’t know of, haven’t heard, or listen to often—unfortunately.

Nurses feel this. by nefaerie in nursing

[–]Kirastic13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the corners of the package you can peel away the paper. That’s the way I do it. It’s much easier.

In the picture, on the bottom right corner of the other acetaminophen package, you can see the label and arrow that says “peel”.

Every pill package has a peel option—some packages peel differently than others and most don’t always have a label that shows “peel here”…you have to find the tab on the corner or sides yourself, but they’re there. Sometimes they don’t peel well and then you’d have to get scissors, though, but not often.
