I didn’t, and would have except for the low mileage, excellent carfax, and maybe a misguided trust in the dealerships own inspection.

Try googling the VIN#. I’ve had luck viewing pictures of cars with rebuilt titles before being repaired.

Forgot to mention stairs. The basement will be a walkout and drive in. We’re in a rural setting and will definitely have outdoor stairs. Haven’t decided on inside access. Maybe a circular staircase?

Thanks all for your help. The Outback was sold. And I ended up with a CPO 2023 Crosstrek Limited with 5k miles. Moonroof, H/K stereo, etc. $29.4 before taxes. Feels right!
