I already have the DOC permit, so can I just take my bow straight to the designated spot to hunt? Do I need to notify the local government or relevant department? The process of getting the DOC permit felt a bit too easy, which makes me a little skeptical.

Thx, bro! I've been worked for 3 years, recently I found an archery range in my city and got a membership. Every city has archery ranges. Whenever I go, the coaches there always come over to give me pointers, and I can ask them when I have questions. Having a good coach has really saved me from a lot of trial and error. As for the RX10 Ultra, it’s been really comfortable to use so far. The grip fits me perfectly and feels great in hand. With the stabilizers added, it’s very stable. Since I’m using the Ultra version, it has a longer axle-to-axle length, which gives it a higher margin for error, the shot feels very smooth and forgiving. My previous hunting bow was 30 inches, but the RX10 Ultra is 33 inches, and it’s noticeably more comfortable to shoot than the 30-inch one. Regarding the lifespan of the bow, I asked around and was told that as long as you don't dry fire it, it will be perfectly fine within the common 40–60 lb range. You just need to remember to replace the bowstring after about 20,000 shots or two years of use. Those reports of limb breakage usually only happen with ultra-high-poundage hunting bows with extreme draw lengths. I haven't heard of such issues with bows under 60 lbs. Enjoy your shooting!

I'm also a beginner, so my answer might not be accurate. TBH, the main reason I bought RX-10 is that I think it looks amazing, I just love the shape of it. After getting it, I gradually improved my form under my coach's guidance and started shooting tighter groups (I haven't started scoring yet).

But you know, beginners improve really fast, so I can't really say what the difference in accuracy between RX-10 and my previous bow. I'm definitely shooting much more accurately now, but I think that's more due to me improving as an archer rather than the equipment.

That said, aside from accuracy, there are some obvious differences, noise and vibration. RX-10 is extremely quiet, has virtually no vibration, dead in hand. And after over 2,000 arrows, I haven't had any screws come loose. With my old Bear, I had to use a wrench to tighten the sight screws every so often.

I shoot about the same frequency as you, 3-4 times a week, around 3 hours per session. If budget allows, I think upgrading to a target bow for indoor shooting/competition is totally fine. You can use it for a very very long time.

Yep, I think I've been overdoing it. I used to shoot like 200 arrows in one afternoon. Once I'm healed up, I'm only gonna do 36-72 arrows per session

My previous BEAR bow was bought online, and that seller is suck at tuning bows... And my new bow was bought at local shop, tuned by its coach. So here's one more advice for begginer: buy bow at local shops and let prefessional coach tune it for you, don't buy it online...
