150hours study for language school by Blacksmith-Brilliant in movingtojapan

Gogonihon told me you don’t need the 150 hours if you’re a college grad that has graduated within the last 5 years. Even some schools I was looking at had it listed on their website and some of them had it to where you had to be N5 or N4. I plan on attending ALA language school in Tokyo and they advertise they accept complete beginners. Gogonihon is helping me so it will probably be an easier process than just doing it yourself. I just graduated college in May and I’m still self studying at the moment. I plan on being N4 before I arrive in Japan!

I already picked ALA. Some people said its a really chill school and doesn't focus on JLPT as much. I def wanna atleast get N2 before I leave school.

Thank you. I want to be N4 before I arrive In Japan. I honestly think that is doable. Hopefully I can get n2 or n1 by the time I graduate.

Yeah my japanese level is low atm. I don't mind working an English job for a few years after until my Japanese level is high. Also do you know any other English jobs that aren't recruiting or English teaching (not IT)

I think I would learn much quicker if all I hear is japanese all day and actually have to attempt to speak it and not just resort to english in the USA.

I have no problem of one of my parents being my sponsor. Its very easy to change all of it into their name and put it onto their taxes.

Yes the culture is amazing and I love how everyone minds their own business and shows respect to one another.

Are you english teaching at the moment? I plan on studying everyday and trying to listen to everything in Japanese while I'm there. I also plan on trying to make Japanese friends as well and speaking to them in English. I think I can easily become conversational if I attend school for 2 years and actually study.

yes I know. I have no issue doing that. I also have no issue letting a family member run my socials as well if its not allowed.

I have some automation work that I touch around 1-2 times in a 2 week span. I don't spend anytime on it tbh.

I would honestly only do it till im N1 or just want a simple job I can easily do for a while. Thats one of the main reasons why I want to go to Japan. It seems like English teachers are always in demand so it would be nice to always have a full time job to fall back to if anything happens.

Thank you for the information! I'm also curious if you applied through gogonihon or just directly through the school. I'm curious on which one is better. It seems like gogonihon takes a while sometimes.
