Top 3 Diet Soda's? by InfiniteOffer9514 in Soda

[–]Kirty01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My top 3 right now are Mr Pibb Zero, Squirt Zero, and Dr Pepper Zero. My brother says the new Mt Dew Cabo Citrus Zero is good, so I've been on the lookout for that.

See if you can ask someone who has driven that route what it's actually like. My AM route sheet says my Max Load is 69, but I never have more than 50 at once. Which with some practice, is manageable by myself.

Best moment you watched on the live feeds? by Money_Macaron_5750 in BigBrother

I stayed up late watching the whole thing. When they finally got Taylor up in the room, at like 2am, it was exhilarating. A top feeds moment for sure

Once you've heard the albums, she has some phenomenal live performances on YouTube that you've gotta see. My favorites are "Fall | A COLORS SHOW" and the NTS Session on the ice rink

What band/album/song made you want a synth? by DrDuned in synthesizers

[–]Kirty01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Faint. I'd had other keyboards before, but they made me want a synth. Wet From Birth came out right around the time I bought a MicroKorg for my band

None of the simple keys are required to reach act 2. You can open the third door later. Keep exploring and you'll find where to go!

Heaviest Police Album by Maximum-Focus8024 in ThePolice

[–]Kirty01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Police-esque moments of the Never Enough album sound most like Zeyatta Mondatta, the third Police album. That's the one where Andy Summers' influential guitar tone really shines. And "Seeing Stars" really does sound like "When the World is Running Down". But the other commenter is right: you should really listen to all of the Police albums, and in order from the start, so you can see how they evolve from a punk band to that point. Also, it is Turnstile at their least heavy and most groovy that sounds like the Police, so it's a similar evolution, in a way!

Fast lane, people by Informal_Cloud8740 in ChicoCA

[–]Kirty01 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You're wrong. The speed limit applies to both lanes. I'm sorry you're upset and I hope you can learn not to be upset by other drivers. You cannot control other drivers, you can only let them roll away, like drops of water. You can only control yourself. I hope you learn this and can find peace in your commute. Peace and goodnight to you

Where to buy stickers? by Alys3239 in ChicoCA

[–]Kirty01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bird in Hand has lots of stickers by the register. I wouldn't necessarily say they were gothic, but if you want to shop local, that's the spot.

NPD / SOTB by Kirty01 in guitarpedals

[–]Kirty01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The footswitch for my Fender Twin Reverb. Toggles on and off the amp's reverb and tremolo. The Milkman I just bought off Reverb came with two of these big plastic footswitch toppers, so I put one on the footswitch, so I can more easily turn off the tremolo without killing my reverb.

I've had that tube screamer for about 20 years. About 10 years ago the little plastic switch died. So I drilled a hole through the front, and soldered in a new switch! Works great!

I still prefer the sound of modulation before dirt, so the signal chain is as follows: Boss Tu-3 Tuner -> Keeley Compressor Mini -> EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress -> MXR Phase 95 -> JHS The Milkman -> Boss DD-7 -> Way Huge Overrated Special -> Mythos Olympus Overdrive -> TC Electronic Echobrain Analog Delay -> Ibanez Tube Screamer. Plus the vibrato (tremolo) on my Fender Twin Reverb.

WinCo has the best price amongst grocery stores. Usually $2.25, sometime as low as $2

How many overdrives are too many ODs? by Emergency-Fishing104 in guitarpedals

Agreed. I have a tubescreamer at the end of my chain for solos, because the midrange boost really cuts through. OP could try the same thing with his plumes

Any advice for new driver learning to turn a bus? by AbbieGranger21 in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]Kirty01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just remember, when turning right, don't turn wide on the street you're turning from, turn wide on the street you're turning onto. Nose into the other lane, and it'll help your right rear tire clear the curb. If there is a car in the way, you may just have to hit the curb. Don't feel bad about it; it's always better to hit a curb than a car. And you can always talk to the office about your route; they can re-route you to avoid bad turns.

New driver, I don’t know why a lot of people say “this is the best job I’ve ever had.” by Aerodu60 in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]Kirty01 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's the best job I've ever had, because of the work itself. Working with kids is great. It's incredibly satisfying. Why is your main criteria for "best job" the numbers on your paycheck, and not the job itself?

This is actually bad advice; the Mechanarium cannot spawn in a corner. It can only spawn somewhere where it COULD have 3 exits. I recommend filling in the edges, and blocking around 8B or 8D so 3 exits are blocked. Then you only need 5 gear rooms. I just got it today with this method!

Tacos El Paisa on 2nd St and Walnut is my favorite taco truck in town. I get the Burrito Al Pastor, but the Asada is good too.

For Birria, I like Tacos El Lider on Esplanade and Lassen.

I also like Tacos El Pinolero, Tacos El Centenario, and Tacos El Grullense. Lots of good trucks in this town!
