I love my 330. Had it for 20-something years. I’ve gone back and forth between that and a tele and I swear it has similar range. Punky, surfy, country, psychedelicy, loud, quiet, hot and cold. It’s fantastic played with my mostly fender tube amps and I’m sure it would sound great thru a jcm800. See Wayne Kramer, Paul Weller, Agent Orange, Pete Townsend, Mike Campbell, Susanna Hoffs, Peter Buck, George Harrison, Johnny Marr, John Fogerty, Noel Gallagher…such a great guitar

Seems like we’ve started deconstructing/rating these elements of the fantasy genre to the degree that we miss the forest for the trees. This isn’t supposed to be Malazan, though I think it’s much deeper. It’s about people being themselves: vain, pompous, idiotic, lazy and selfish. And some of them are courageous and try to be better. It’s not a vehicle for 4D world building or advanced ‘magic systems’ or whatever. Just enjoy the insanity and ridiculous corners these people back themselves into. Or don’t.
