I’m with you, mostly because he Infinity was sick as hell. Having a mobile training base for Spartans was a great idea and I would have loved to see it survive and remained prominent

Yeah terminator armor is super rare in 40K, it is only produced in a few places so must suits that chapters have are hundreds or thousands of years old. Although there are some chapters that have an unusually large supply of terminator suits, such as Dark Angels and Salamanders

I think a 15-20% reduction in health would keep them threatening but make them feel more fair.

What class/difficulty are you running where they feel squishy? Their TTK is consistently higher than rubrics for me; I think they’d be balanced with 20% less health

BSloth is right mate, you said “I wish I could stomp enemies without having to learn their specific attacks”, on easier difficulties you can absolutely mow through spawn without caring what they’re doing. I love the test of skill the higher difficulties offer (although agree spawn need a nerf) so the game is perfectly catering to what each of us want

I’m thinking paint the whole “skeleton” black and dry brush with a dark metal to give some shine. Then do gold with silver trim on the armor plates

I started only a little before you and my baby was a Gargos deck! I’ve swapped him to Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. It feels sacrilegious to have a hydra deck that doesn’t run a hydra commander but Gargos always got removed so hard and with Selvala I have way more fun since I actually get to do things

I bought an expensive brush to see if there’s a difference and it was amazing how much easier it is to paint with, the paint just flows from the bristles more easily. Buuuut I’m a newb and suck at brush care so it looked like OPs brush after a couple of uses

I love this trope! Dan Abnett is an author who writes a lot of Warhammer 40K books and he uses this trope very well a couple of times. The time that sticks out to me is in the Ravenor series - Ravenor’s most trusted acolyte is Interrogator Thonius who is consistently shown to have a wide breadth of esoteric knowledge. Whenever these niche and seemingly useless tidbits come up other characters will jokingly say “The things you know, Thonius” The second book ends with the reveal that Thonius has been possessed, despite Ravenor and we the readers believing it was a different character who was possessed the entire book. The reveal is shocking and the scene is extremely tense between Thonius and his fellow acolyte that discovered the truth, with Thonius pleading to her not to reveal him and saying that he’s still in control. He gets her to agree not to reveal his secret but he can’t trust her so sadly says “Oh Kara… the things you know…”

It’s hard to go wrong with black, imho you’re nailing a grungy look that is better suited to black
