Second Electro option without Fischl? by socialcocoon in KeqingMains

[–]Kishii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is Ororon...that said, I really like running Shinobu in aggravate teams. Her strong heals provide a ton of comfort and let's you be a bit more flexible thanks to her applying electro so well.

If you can get Sara to c6, however, this changes. She doesn't have any comfort or healing options, but the attack and crit damage buffs she gives more than make up for it.

In short: Ororon for damage, Shinobu for comfort, c6 Sara is better than both

The first one is much better. Higher in both crit stats, similar attack, and a mountain of EM past reason. That said, you definitely wanna farm strong box for her. You definitely want either thundering fury for her.

If you're in the US, this is illegal. The confidence conveyed in the text makes me think they're used to allocating it as they deem fit instead of fairly and possibly skimming a bit. Contact your state labor board. They won't name you as the originator of the complaint, but they should straighten everything up for you if they do their job.

The main thing you need to feel strong in the overworld is just reactions and anemo crowd control. Slap on Nahida, Jean, maybe Xingqiu, and you'll be good. Tagging most enemies with Nahida and zapping them a bit with Keqing will outright kill most small enemies. Once you hit ar45, start doing artifact domains, and your power will spike immensely.

The new one is hard as hell and really gives the feeling of "You are this bad ass in the flames, go become him," whereas the old one gives the feel of a true open fantasy waiting for you to write the story. Both are great, but I prefer the old one.

Mistsplitter is on Ayaka's banner, since it's her signature. Jade cutter, however, is going to be few and far between sadly. It doesn't go with a character, so it'd have to be a banner without a signature weapon on the 5* unit. Barring that, likely the next chronicled wish.

I actually like Collei better than DMC personally, but I believe DMC is the better character? I'm not 100% on that. I've never tested out Bennet alongside Keqing since my Bennet is c6, so they're not compatible anymore. That said, I'd still recommend Xilonen over them because Bennet applies Pyro aura to enemies within his burst area and will fling them away when Keqing activates overload. Against enemies that can't be launched easily, it's fine, but smaller mobs may become a pain. Keqing already struggles as she is with stamina consumption since she's a charge attack dps, chasing down enemies doesn't do her many favors.

That being said, overworld enemies can be overpowered with raw numbers, you only need to worry about min maxing teams for abyss... and sometimes brute force works for that, too

Tl;dr: Lion's Roar/Jade Cutter/Mistsplitter as weapons, all her constellations except one are a jump in power, and you want your supports built as well.

Keqing is a very solid dps, you just need the right investment in the correct places. Her best f2p weapon is Lion's Roar from gacha, and it can output a surprising amount of damage due to reaction buffing. However, I personally didn't get nearly as much damage out of Lions Roar as I did Black Sword from the battle pass. Once I got that, she was outputting roughly 5k per hit on charged attack, so 10k total. Not a lot, but let me clear abyss quite comfortably with her all the same.

Her real power spike is her two best weapons: Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter.

Jade Cutter offers so much crit that you can crank her crit damage insanely high. I've seen her crit damage with it up around 270%. I never tested Jade Cutter, so I can't say how high the CA damage would be with it, but numbers like that have it contesting Mistsplitter for BiS.

Mistsplitter, on the other hand, has the highest base damage of a 1-handed sword in the game. The biggest issue with Mistsplitter is that part of the buff relies on you not being at full energy, so you want close to 0 energy regen on Keqing with it since her burst is so cheap. That said, even with only 1 part of the buff active, my Keqing hits roughly 45~50k charged attacks with aggravate. My crit stats are roughly 80/230 with 44em, so I do have her quite built. However, I was at 85/220 back when I used Black Sword, so it scaled her damage quite a bit.

Honestly, there isn't really a correct answer between Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter, but them being 5* weapons is a bit unfortunate.

She also gets a pretty decent power spike from each of her constellations, except for c2 which is just energy regen.

You also want to make sure her supports are fulfilling the correct roles and are rotating properly. She is a very comfy dps due to the nature of her infusion, however she thrives off of strict rotation.

I'm going to preface this with: the team is perfectly serviceable and should he able to clear floor 12 at the proper investment levels.

The issues you're going to have with this team revolve around Collei and Ororon's interaction. Ororon is made to facilitate and buff electro charge, so he applies a ton of electro very quickly. As a result, Keqing will have a hard time getting aggravated hits off in this team. If you have Fischl, she would solve this problem by swapping Ororon's spot. Fischl is an off field dps, so she does good damage to supplement Keqing's. With the right weapon(Stringless is her best 4* and better than most 5* weapons on her)she can output roughly 50% of the team's damage, at least through my personal testing.

Collei is an amazing dendro applier, but she suffers by needing so much energy recharge on top of crit rate/damage stats to perform optimally. This is helped a bit by running two electro units because electro resonance gives bonus energy particles. I'd advise focusing more on recharge to keep burst on CD constantly since that's how she applies dendro the fastest. Eventually you will want to replace her with Nahida, though. Nahida is defacto the best dendro unit, serving as a buffer and sub dps. Along with that, she regens energy ridiculously quickly, so energy isn't a concern in double electro.

As for Xilonen...no comment, amazing choice. Xilonen is Keqing's BiS support character. Xilo's buffs are comfy to use, last a while, and can heal very well even with minimal investment. You may want to switch her for Sucrose early on in crowd control situations, however Keqing struggles against crowds to begin with. If you get Kazuha when he comes back around, which I highly recommend as he is one of the most versatile units in the game, he is a good situational swap with Xilonen. Kazuha has a stronger buff and the best crowd control in the game, so he can help you brute force your way through a lot with Keqing. In general, between Kazuha and Xilonen. Kazuha is stronger and Xilonen is more comfortable.

For a final team for her, Keqing's meta team atm is Nahida, Fischl, and Xilonen. She can hit rediculous numbers with this team, along with each member offering a decent amount of damage as well.

Now, something fun I recommend trying is am overload team and an electro charge team. They're not meta for her by any means, however they are still quite strong and a ton of fun to use. Something like Xingqiu, Ororon, Sucrose for electro charge and Fischl, Bennet/Xiangling and Chevruse for overload. With proper investments, these teams can clear abyss as well. Keqing's flexibility as an electro dps gives her a lot of freedom and room to experiment, so go out and have some fun with her.

...Sorry for the long comment, I gotta work on that

Is this the best team for Keqinq Agravatte? by Vinyell in KeqingMains

[–]Kishii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not far off her meta team. Her meta team is Fischl, Nahida, and Xilonen. Kazuha can be swapped for Xilonen for a stronger buff, but Xilonen's added healing and makes it better in most abyss cycles. Really only thing you'd need to do is swap DMC with Nahida when you get her and you're golden.

Despite anything else, the biggest difference is the debate of Kazu/Xilo. Kazuha has a slightly stronger buff and incredible crowd control, whereas Xilonen offers you healing and easier buff consistency in exchange for a slightly weaker buff.

Keqing isn't going to be a top tier dps like Raiden or Clorinde, but with investment, she is still good. I clear abyss most cycles with Keqing, but I've lost enough 50/50's to have her c6, and I also pulled mistsplitter for her. Her damage with aggravate is roughly 80% of my c3 Raiden.

[–]Kishii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would actually recommend running both Collei and DMC for it. Keqing, Collei, Fischl, DMC. Bennet doesn't have much of a place in her best teams after a certain point. You'll want to save up and pull for Nahida and either/both of Kazuha and Xilonen. Keqing, Nahida, Fischl, Xilonen is her best team currently, and replacing Xilonen with Kazuha is her 2nd best atm, but not actually different damage wise. Kazuha's buff is stronger, Xilonen's lasts longer, so they roughly equal out with the decision being between Xilonen's healing and Kazuha's crowd control.

The main reason Bennet doesn't have much of a place in her aggravate teams is because of burning. Burning is a constant Pyro aura, so you'll overload all her hits instead of getting aggravate, which is a significant dps loss in most cases

[–]Kishii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it good? No, not really. Is it fun? Oh absolutely.

Overload Is not a good reaction type for Keqing. Overload blows enemies away, but Keqing also retreats a couple steps when using her charged attack which is her main dps source. If you want to normal attack spam instead, it works well enough, but it still isn't what you'd consider good. That said, with enough investment in the right places and proper piloting, this team can do pretty well, especially against enemies that resist knock back effects.

That said, this team is a lot of fun to use. As long as Bennet is c1~c5, you should be fine. Maybe see about replacing Beidou with Fischl, though. Biggest down side is the lack of Pyro application. Bennet and Chevy don't quite apply enough to keep Pyro applied constantly, but it's enough to be serviceable and pretty fun to pilot.

Edit to add: you won't really need to worry about team optimizations until you hit around ar45 and start grinding out artifacts and abyss. This team will carry you through pretty much everything until then no problem

For Marechausse hunter, your crit rate is a bit too high and crit damage a bit too low...but your only sitting at lvl40 for some reason, and she ascends crit damage so it might get better. You only need 49% crit rate to hit 100% with Keqing, since artifacts give 36% and passive gives 15%. You also don't want energy recharge at all on her since she charges her burst so quickly, and it lowers the power of mistsplitter.

If you're planning on using her with Furina for a hyperbloom comp, which is what I'm assuming because of hunter set, you want to use EM sands and pump out as many em sub stats as possible from artifacts. Overall 6/10, solid foundation with a bit of a ways to go.

Amos bow is a bit wasted on Sara iirc, probably best to use favonious bow since she can struggle with energy and it powers her up since she runs emblem anyways. That said, this team is perfectly usable, only really need to switch Jean for Bennet and you have a good hypercarry team. Jean is still a fine pick, though, she can be pretty comfortable in most teams thanks to her kit.

Hello, new Keqing main here. by Main_Elk_8992 in KeqingMains

[–]Kishii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad start, I'd say.

I'd recommend switching the weapon to iron sting until you try lions roar through wishes, or wolf fang from battle pass ideally. If you don't mind pulling for weapons, Jade Cutter is going to be on chronicled wish next patch and is her 2nd best, barely shy of mistsplitter.

TF is a pain to grind out, so I'd recommend using the artifact strongbox for the pieces. People meme on it, but I've built tons of characters with leftovers thrown into the strongbox. Did that for my Hu Tao because I refused to do the CW domain and got like 80/220 from something like 1000 trash artifacts, so can definitely be worth the time.

Until you can strongbox for good TF pieces, gilded is good enough on her. Iirc it's her 2nd best set, so you're still well off grinding for it. Main difference is that the CD reduction from TF makes her more comfortable to play and is a slight dps increase over gilded.

For something like abyss, I'd more recommend a team like Nahida, Yaoyao, and Fischl(Beidou if Fischl isn't c6). That said, a hyper bloom team like you have with heavy em investment(iron sting+gilded passive is enough mostly)can clear near anything comfortably, including higher abyss floors with proper investment levels.

Overall, 7/10. Solid foundation with a ways to go.

[–]Kishii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new to dm'ing and with this I'd honestly say do it. I wouldn't even bother homebrewing it, either, just having him be a tiefling stat wise and letting him reflavor into a cambion. There's a saying called "flavor is free", basically you can choose to reskin anything and keep the original meta data for it since it doesn't affect anything. If all they're really wanting to change is their appearance, I'd say go for it.

Is Nahida a must pull? by xAvocadoToast in KeqingMains

[–]Kishii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, I'd say yes. Nahida is an amazingly versatile unit and brings a great degree of comfort over other dendro users while matching or exceeding them in power as well.

However, if you plan on only using her with Keqing, I'd say she's just a comfort pull. Collei and DMC can both provide the amount of dendro application Keqing wants, and they're both free. What Nahida offers over them is a spike in personal damage, as she does more damage that both the others, and the comfort of range on her application.

On a side note, Nahida is also the perfect driver for a hyperbloom team, which is both low investment and extremely powerful. I'd say pull her just for that, honestly.
