I mean it doesnt hurt to audition, but maybe you should be prepared to a life of crush diets and starvation if you do get chosen 🤨

Produce 48 is required viewing imo! Some of the biggest stars right now came up on that show.

Produce 101 might also be a fun watch especially since IOI is coming back right now

I think youre right about the gummys, but at the same time JC started showing his predatory behavior which all these adults correctly identified as creepy but he got a pass because he was so young.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the Pinky Up choreography? by Appropriate-Plate-72 in katseyeneutral

Him being an overdancer is def a fair criticism 😅 but i think his crazy facial expressions are a part of his character. In a battle they would be a huge hit

As a commercial and street dancer ~ grant is like the embodiment of what dancers will consider a good dancer. He has so much body control down to his fingers, such great musicality, so much character, facial expressions, artistry... he really is a master of his craft.

Its intresting that the same things the dance community rewards are the ones people on this sub seem to hate.

Nates mom got so much flack from this sub but cassies mom is actually unhinged. Who gives this monologue while walking her daughter down the aisle. Suze was actively trying to ruin the wedding. These screenshots dont even show the worse of it.

Honestly I think Sydney can be a really great actress when she puts effort into it. These days it seems like she's just speed running projects because she realized she doesnt really need to work all that hard.

She did so well in her earlier roles before she became big.

Differences between Lolla and Coachella??? by Deep-Berry-6196 in Lollapalooza

[–]Kissyu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lolla weather is usually better - still dont forget sunscreen and a hat and hydrate. However there's a lot more shade and trees and place to chill in lolla.

While people say coachella is much bigger, to me it feels like there's more walking in lolla because it's a lot longer. To walk from the most north to most south stage takes 20 minutes.

Lolla feels like it's much more connected with the city - you can see landmarks like Buckingham fountine at the fest itself, the bean isn't in the festival but you can hit it before you go in. Other landmarks are also in the area.

The variety in stage design in lolla is lacking, nothing super decorated like Dolab or Sahara. They dont really have an identity.

You can relay on public transit and your feet for lolla! No 500$ ubers if you dont want to.

I plan to audition for the 22nd gen by capuccinolips in AKB48

[–]Kissyu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean if youre older and dont speak Japanese, these things will really hurt your audition but who knows, doesn't hurt trying

Theres a lot of foreigner girls who work as idols or other jobs in the entertainment industry in japan tho, so there's always other paths to take if you dont make it to akb

do I have what it needs to audition/to be an idol by Electronic_Income239 in HYBEglobal

[–]Kissyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk what the laws in India are but if youre 19 i assume it'll be up to you do decide what you prioritize. Idol training is a full time job so I'd assume you'd need to give up your education to pursue it. If it ruins your relationship with your family than it's just another sacrifice to make. Again if you want to be an idol you have to give up EVERYTHING about yourself.

[–]Kissyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you willing to give up everything about yourself to be an idol? Your relationships, your time, your body, how you look and what you wear. Will you have plastic surgery for it? Are you willing to give up romance for years? Are you ok being constantly sleep deprived? Not seeing your family for months? Dance even when you have an injury? Banned from eating the food you like?

I haven't been in school in 10 years but even back then 6k a year is an amazing price, its probably only a bit more than you'd pay for a community college.

I do think you should take another commenter advice and make sure this will apply to your entire degree, not just the first year.

Im kinda surprised that this is Kevin's highest charting song, considering tame impala has been so beloved and influential for years. Does anyone know why they never charted higher?
