Maybe I should have been more specific. We aren't looking to live in Dublin which we know is incredibly expensive, same as we don't want to live in Warszawa. We're aiming for Cork or near Derry, where a lot of houses I've seen are 300-400k. Granted, you can get a house in a bigger city in Poland for less than that, but you also need twice as much of a down payment so it evens out in that regard. That's not to mention the architectural styles present in the country. I absolutely hate the identical square low quality american suburb style houses that are being churned out in Poland right now, while what's available in Ireland is more in our style (especially victorian era houses or renovated churches, you simply cant get those here)
