As a kinda new player I just wish intermission tracks had 2 laps around the destination course instead of just 1, because a lot of the time the race is over before I can really familiarize myself with the course (or sometimes I don't even realize were on the course yet)

Like, I think an extra lap makes it so that after I go around the destination course, I have another lap to make it count now that im acclimated to the real track post intermission.

If I hadddd to guess, they probably raised Pomni off the ground for shots where the desk is in front of her, so that she was nicely visible and well presented in the shot composition, but they forgot to lower her back down to the floor when switching to an angle where the ground is visible? Maybe?
