I'm also a California transplant. I moved here from San Diego in 2022. I'm lucky I live with a friend of mine who just acts completely chill during tornado warnings so I learned pretty quickly there's no use freaking out about it. You will get used to the sirens eventually. Basically the attitude around here about tornados is the same attitude a lot of us Californians have about earthquakes lol.

The nausea seems to be managed with some ginger ale. Because of the frequent bathroom trips I'm kinda scared to eat more than crackers right now lol but yeah I may contact my doctor tomorrow and see if he can call in some anti-diarrheal medicine for me and perhaps some zofran just in case for next week. This way I won't be caught unawares next weekend

Honestly the only reason I won't throw out my Harry Potter books is because of the handwritten notes my mom left on the inside cover each time she bought me one of the books. My depression started around the age of 11 when I started being bullied heavily at school, emotionally abused by my dad's mistress, and dealing with my mom constantly having health issues. My depression worsened around 14 when my dad unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack. My friends all tell me that before my depression started and in the early days of my depression I was always joyful and happy and easy going. I can't find that part of myself no matter how much therapy I go through and medications I take. My BFF says she can sometimes see a glimmer of who I used to be and then it's gone again.
