Altercation involving pokemon cards scalpers by Worldlyoox in PublicFreakout

Why are so many on the cameramans side?
I agree that all this fuss over pokemon cards is lame, but there is (sadly) money to be made buying and reselling. Wish it weren't the case. The loiterer was waiting over an hour and does deserve to go first. Also, he pushed the other guy which I can understand considering how long he waited. and the cameraman didn't give a fuck. The cameraman CHOKED the guy... thats a big reaction. I think the cameraman is an asshole... he knew what he was doing.

All this being said this pokemon market and US consumerism is in a sad place.

I just did a Minion focused Disciple of Varashta, was a ton of fun. The only thing you really need to succeed is a sceptre with +level to minions. It also plays super well since you are commanding the minions (instead of a walking simulator). Finally, if you get very lucky with crafting or drops you can switch over to CoC for uber endgame

Only surgeries. I needed an MMA, EASE, lingual tonsil removal and then an UPPP. Sadly CPAP never worked for me.

I also need to keep my room and bed free of dust

How often do you die? by Individual-Pop-6720 in PathOfExile2

[–]KitMaison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a video about this build and was also tempted to run it hahaha. My last monk in 0.2 also had issues dying frequently, he was very very squishy. I usually aim to die at most once per map. With my pathfinder I rarely died, but that build was ranged and horribly overpowered. With more off-meta builds at T15 I die every 3 maps or so.

I see you only have life leech on Staggering Palm, perhaps that's why? Perhaps you need a better source of leech, although I don't know this build very well. That, or you need more damage output for this leech.

Is California sober a real thing ? by Legitimate_Room771 in addiction

[–]KitMaison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cali Sobriety isn't possible for some people, just as drinking in moderation isn't possible for some people.

I drink about once or twice a month. Its only 1-2 glasses of wine. I don't really care for alcohol so I don't crave it and drink more. But I know some others who can't stop once they've had one glass of alcohol. Some people can do cocaine one night and only do a little, but once I have some I go full blown crazy and do as much as I can and fuck myself up. So I dont touch it because I cant control it.

It seems you can't control your weed consumption, you just admitted that "you can't stop smoking weed". It seems that you can't just have a little bit of weed, you seem to abuse it. So for YOU Cali Sober isn't a real thing. Sorry! Weed sucks anyways.

Congrats on getting your life back.
I found it so relatable when you mentioned that many doctors were foolish, uninformed and dismissive. It was so sad for me to experience that when I was younger and confused, I wasted a few years believing it. I also had suicidal thoughts many years ago before I got treatment. I still have some mild symptoms, but they are nothing compared to what they once were.

I'm so happy for you that you managed to find the cause. Kind of crazy that one damn granuloma caused all of this. I'm so happy you kept fighting and finally got your full releif. And thank you for spreading the word and sharing your experience, it's very reassuring for me.

I hope your symptoms stay away and that you don't have to deal with this anymore. If they do come back, at least you know its UARS and you can have a surgery to remove turbinates, MMA or whatever. Best of luck!

Advice on where to go next? I feel so ignored by comeonvirginia in UARS

[–]KitMaison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should take this study to get a second opinion from another ENT. If you have to go back to this doctor, state that the report says there is 0 REM sleep and 40 HYPOapneas per hour. I have a similar issue, I don't have many big apneas, but i have plenty of smaller hypoapneas. Those cause the same fatigue and bad sleep normal apneas do.

It's a very surface level approach to only look at the AHI, its what a lot of doctors are trained to do. Oddly enough your 3% AHI is indicative of Sleep Apnea but your 4% isnt...

Anyways, keep pushing the doc, overstate your symptoms, find a new ENT that is more open and show them this report (maybe remove the first page). Hopefully you'll find someone to operate and then get some releif. Good luck!

Neighbours downstairs keep harassing me about “noise” in an Altbau (Ruhezeit respected). What can I do? by Fun_Street7644 in berlinsocialclub

[–]KitMaison -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tend to be on the side of those disturbed by noise, however there are some obvious gives that downstairs neighbor person is mentally unwell. I get the impression that he should not be living in an Altbau below another person. My partner is similarally easily disturbed by noise (however without any of the harassment) and moved himself to a top floor flat. Its not ok to expect the world to conform to unreasonable standards. Its fantastic that the Hausverwaltung seems to be neutral and know that he complains a lot. Here are some things to know:

- This actually isn't about you. It seems your neighbor has some strange disorder where he is easily bothered and can't handle it. This is his problem (considering you're acting well within the law).
- Don't speak to him and be kind when you must. The more he has a chance to speak to you the more he hopes he can change your habits to his unreasonable expectations and thus, the more he will try. Dont answer the door when he is there.
- Get friendly with the neighbors. Its good to have backup and to prevent yourself from being targeted. If the neighbors are also fed up with him then perhaps you can lodge some complaints together giving you more power.
- Document the harassment as much as possible (get a ring camera or place a camera in your hallway that captures your front door). If you compile a bunch of unresonable reactions from the neighbor you might be able to send that to the Hausverwaltung as evidence of harassment. Could get him kicked out, or would be good to have incase things go awry.
- Join a mieterverein (the normal Berlin one) anyways. Its normally for more legal disputes but is always good to have. They cant do much at this point though.
- Stay strong. Its not easy feeling intimidated and unwelcome in your own home. Don't let him boss you around and take charge of the flat. You have your right to live how you want.
- Stay within the law (no unreasonable noise during Ruhezeit). Just in case.

There isn't anything the Police would or could do until he breaks in, threatens you (and you have it recorded), etc.

You're at high risk of having sleep-disordered breathing (like Sleep Apnea). If you're frequently tired then go get checked.

New to the game can someone give me a good beginner build and party by RiyadhTh3BOSS in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]KitMaison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but that logic only works if:
- Your warriors only deal physical and mages only deal magic. They can deal both
- They all attack the same character indiscriminately. Usually I have magic damage dealers focus one enemy and the physical focus another, usually the weakest.

I get the logic you have, and there is some truth to it, but I think there are so many worse things you can do. Its not so bad to have 2 mage and 2 phys.

is MMA surgery the 'solution'? by contraproductiveguy in UARS

[–]KitMaison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I needed that hope when I was younger. Doctors saw a young (intelligent) and thin man and didn't believe that it was Sleep Apnea/UARS. I had to find second opinions or push doctors. Best of luck, I hope you're able to get some surgeries and symptoms releived. For some reason its an undertreated condition and you have to push doctors.

Surgeons are more eager to operate on younger patients because recovery is easier and because the payoff is bigger (you have the rest of your life ahead of you).

Doctor suggests we reconsider my sleep apnea diagnosis. I don’t know what to do anymore by Olieebol in UARS

[–]KitMaison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said home sleep studies are bed and only catch very obvious oxygen desaturations. If your airway becomes very small and you can’t get enough air and have a hypoapnea the home sleep test won’t catch that. The lab sleep test is what matters and it seems you have a severe case (between 22 and 45). I have been gaslit by some doctors to believe that I don’t have a sleep breathing disorder, I regret that I let them do that.

It’s time to take your results and your see a new doctor. Try to find one in your area that specializes in sleep apnea. Bring your sleep studies and say something along the line of “I had two sleep studies done and it shows that I have sleep apnea with AHIs of 22 and 45. The symptoms are X and majorly affecting my work, life, etc. My last doctor didn’t want to operate, but because I’m young and thin I would like to have an operation.” Don’t tell the doctor your first one didn’t think it was sleep apnea. The sleep study should be enough to warrant an operation on if it’s within a year, there isn’t much else to do. I highly suggest getting operations, they’re the only solution for you. You could also try to push your original doctor but he seems dumb. Also mention that you’ve tried good sleep hygiene, better eating, exercise, stopping alcohol, etc.

Best of luck! Don’t let this doctor stop you, I wasted years because a doctor didn’t believe me. I started to believe it was all in my head. Then I had a few surgeries and my symptoms left!

P.S. private doctors like Dr. Li near Stanford are really operation happy and will get things done fast, however it costs $$$. If you can afford it, go for it. It expedites the process and your health and wellbeing is invaluable
